Card Trivia:Valhalla, Hall of the Fallen

  • In Nordic Mythology, Valhalla is a great hall within Asgard, the home of the gods. Where dead heroes were taken by Odin and the valkyries, partying with the gods, and preparing to battle in Ragnarök.
    • Contrary to this card's effect, Valhalla is populated only by the Aesir (the Norse war gods), the valkyries, and (cheifly) the Einherjar, warriors who died gloriously in battle.
  • The name, "Hall of the Fallen", could be a reference to the Darklords, as they are known in the OCG as the "Fallen Angels". The Darklords are also Fairy-Type monsters, and can be used in combination with this card. It could also just reference that those who fall in battle (Einherjar) are brought here.
  • This card bears a striking resemblance to both Poseidon's Throne and Poseidon's Temple from Saint Seiya series.
