- Due to players initially using this card alongside "Sangan", these two monsters are often shipped as a meme.
- "Tour Bus From the Underworld" appears in this card's first artwork. In this card's alternate artwork, "Tardy Orc" also appears, alongside "Sangan", and the bus is absent.
- She also may have some relation with "Beat Cop from the Underworld", as both appear as human-like girls and drive shadowy vehicles.
- Both monsters also share the same ATK value of 1000 points.
- The effect of "Tour Guide" could also be used to Link Summon "Beat Cop" in the same turn which could be viewed as a further reference to the possible relation of those two monsters.
- This monster is possibly a reference to Vergil from the Divine Comedy, a person who guides Dante to the Underworld.
- Additionally, this card is often ran in Burning Abyss decks due to all the main deck monsters in the archetype being Level 3 Fiends, while the archetype itself is based on the Divine Comedy.
- "Tour Guide" is shown in this and the artwork of "Tour Bus From the Underworld" to have a set of fangs, matching the fact that she is indeed a Fiend-Type.
- This card is the third TCG exclusive card to be restricted in any way, and the second one after "Reborn Tengu" that was not the result of a mid-format change.
- Unlike "Reborn Tengu", however, this card's OCG release had been confirmed by the time it was Semi-Limited, although it was not yet released.
