  • This card's Japanese name is a pun on "Rigorous" and "Grass", giving a second meaning of "Grass Reaper".
  • In some video games, the effect mistakenly says that each player discards 1 card from their opponent's hand (but the actual in-game effect of the card is the correct one).
  • This card is related to "Slate Warrior", supported by both of their appearances in the artwork of "Half Straight." Both are Flip Effect Monsters with an additional second effect of reducing the ATK/DEF of the monster which destroyed them by 500.
    • Also interesting is that in the artwork of "Half Straight," it is revealed that "Rigorous Reaver's" mouth contains an Eye.
