- Ra was a major deity in ancient Egyptian religion, identified primarily with the mid-day Sun. The chief cult centre of Ra was based in Heliopolis. Meaning 'City of the Sun', he commanded the sky, earth and underworld. He was also associated with the falcon.
- This is the first card released in the TCG/OCG to be support for the "Egyptian Gods".
- This card is similar to "Horus' Servant" and "Hand of Nephthys" in that they all support monsters based on Ancient Egyptian deities.
