• This card can be compared with "The Seal of Orichalcos", with both having extremely great effects with the price being that the user stakes their soul on winning the Duel.
  • This card is based on Auguste Rodin's famous sculpture "The Gates of Hell". The sculpture depicts the entrance to Hell as imagined in Dante's Inferno, with the role of Dante played by a miniature of another of Rodin's most famous sculptures, "The Thinker." A similar homage can be seen in other Anime such as The Gate in Fullmetal Alchemist.
  • This is the only card to have the word "percent" on it.
  • "The Soul-Binding Gate" could be considered a counterpart of this card: both are anime-only card based on gates and the underworld, both can destroy an opponent's monsters, and both ultimately turn on their users.
