- "Gyroid appears in the artwork of "Roid Reinforcements".
- This was the first monster that couldn't be destroyed by battle once per turn, instead of just being unable to be destroyed by battle all-in-all.
- This effect is the same for "Dark Resonator" and "Stardust Xiaolong", among others. Its effect is also similar to "Shield Wing" except that the aforementioned card cannot be destroyed by battle up to twice per turn.
- The "Gyroid" name is a reference to the items in the Nintendo game Animal Crossing.
