• "Gladiator Beast Andal" appears in the artwork of "Gladiator Proving Ground".

• The name "Andal" may have been inspired from the Arabic name al-Andalus, which in turn is thought to be derived from the Berber pronunciation of Vandal ("Ouandal"). The Arabic word for the Vandals is "Wandal" at present.

• "Gladiator Beast Andal" is the only Gladiator Beast normal monster. As such, it is one of the few Gladiator Beasts that does not have the ability to return to the Deck after battling.
