- "Fox Fire" is the familiar of "Hiita the Fire Charmer".
- This card is also the only familiar that is an effect monster.
- This card was based on the biblical story of Samson found in Judges chapter 15, when he took 300 foxes and tied them in pairs with a torch on their tails. In its Japanese name, however, states that this monster was based on the "Kitsune".
- This card appears in the artwork of "Volcanic Curse".
- This card has an older counterpart, "Inari Fire".
