- In all Non-Japanese Version of the "Exodia" Cards the "Spellbinding Circle" can be seen behind him. In the Japanese version there is a picture of a pentagram star.
- Due to the 5 cards only featuring the head and 4 limbs, the full body cannot be seen within those cards.
- This card is featured on the artwork of the following cards:
- This card is the first ever card released to permit an Automatic Win.
- This card, along with its limbs, have kept the same status on the Forbidden & Limited Lists longer than any other card in the game. They have all been Limited since the lists were started.
- This card was one of the first 5 cards ever released to have a card effect in it. The other 4 were "Armed Ninja", "Man-Eater Bug", "Hane-Hane" and "Reaper of the Cards". Out of all five this is the only one that doesn't have a Flip Effect.
- This card has three counterparts: "Exodia Necross", "Exodius the Ultimate Forbidden Lord" and "Exxod, Master of The Guard".
- This card is one of the extremely few cards that can produce a potential No Turn Kill. Other cards include "Makyura the Destructor" and the second effect of "Gorz the Emissary of Darkness".
- This is the first card set that can only be used to its full effect if a set of cards is gathered in a player's hand.
- In The Duelists of the Roses, this card had to be on the field to in order to win.
- The Master Collection Volume 1 Promos release of this card had a typo that missed the "r" letter in your", which lead the text to need all 5 pieces to be in "you hand".
- When its Level, ATK and DEF are added with its limbs, it has an ATK of 1800, a DEF of 2200 and is Level 7.
