Card Tips A-Z

  • When using "Vampire Lord"'s effect, the safest bet is to get your opponent to discard Traps since they are the hardest to recover from the Graveyard. Monsters are almost never a good idea as many decks are designed to make use of cards in the Graveyard; however, you can combo "Book of Life" afterward to remove the monster your opponent sent and put them at a disadvantage.
  • Be aware if you're playing against another Zombie Deck when you call Monster, especially if the opponent has a Despair from the Dark.
  • If you're playing against a Lightsworn Deck don't call Monster because your opponent will select Wulf, Lightsworn Beast, who has 100 ATK more than Vampire Lord and will be Special Summoned. Also, don't call Spell if your opponent controls Lightsworn monsters because he can select Lightsworn Sabre, equipping it on one of those monsters.
  • If your opponent has a monster with higher ATK (such as "Cyber Dragon"), set "Rush Recklessly" or "Shrink" and activate them during the Damage Step to destroy that Monster and to force the opponent to discard from their deck.
  • Equip Vampire Lord with Metalsilver Armor to ensure that it will be the monster destroyed by any of your opponent's monster-destroying effects.
