- This card can be searched by "Dark Sage", "Ancient Gear Drill", "Alchemic Magician", "Spell Calling", "Quick Booster" and "Mecha Phantom Beast Jaculuslan".
- In Dragon Decks, this card can be used to send a Dragon monster to the Graveyard or dump "Return of the Dragon Lords" for protection.
- In a "Cyber Dragon" Deck, this card's cost can be used to either:
- Discard a monster whose name is treated as "Cyber Dragon" in the Graveyard, and meet the activation requirement of "Cyber Repair Plant". Additionally, if that monster is "Cyber Dragon Herz", its effect can be used to search or recycle a "Cyber Dragon", effectively making this a 2-for-1 card.
- Dump "Electromagnetic Turtle" for protection during the opponent's Battle Phase.
- In a "HERO" Deck, use "Destiny HERO - Malicious" as discard fodder, and banish it to Special Summon another copy of "Malicious".
- Alternatively, use "Elemental HERO Shadow Mist" to search another "HERO", or "Fusion Substitute" to recycle a Fusion Monster and draw a card.
- In a Burning Abyss Deck, discard a "Malebranche" to activate its effect.
- In an "Amazoness" Deck, discard "Amazoness Baby Tiger", and Special Summon it when an "Amazoness" monster is summoned.
- When an effect that negates a Spell/Trap Card is activated by targeting that card, such as "D/D/D Cursed King Siegfried", "Hot Red Dragon Archfiend Abyss" and "Magician Navigation", this card can be used to destroy the targeted card before the negating effect resolves, so that the target will not be on the field at the time of the resolution of the effect that tried to negate it.
Traditional Format
- Discard "Makyura the Destructor" to avoid having to set Traps for the turn.
- "Level Eater" makes excellent discard fodder for this card, since it can Special Summon itself from the Graveyard multiple times in a turn.
