- Combo this card with cards that Special Summon themselves with their own effects (i.e. "Vice Dragon", "Cyber Dragon", "Oracle of the Sun", "Apprentice Illusion Magician", "Kaiser Vorse Raider", "Hieratic Dragon of Tefnuit", "The Tricky"), and you can still Normal Summon.
- If you have "Apprentice Illusion Magician", this card, and 1 other card in your hand, you can easily bring out "Dark Magician".
- This above combo can be used in a Hieratic-variant Red-Eyes deck to quickly perform any Rank 7 Xyz Summon by Special Summoning "Hieratic Dragon of Tefnuit" via her own effect, then activating this card to tribute "Tefnuit" and Special Summon "Red-Eyes B. Dragon" or "Red-Eyes Black Flare Dragon" from your hand. Lastly, Special Summon another "Red-Eyes B. Dragon" via the last effect of "Tefnuit" since she was Tributed, then Xyz Summon "Red-Eyes Flare Metal Dragon", "Gaia Dragon, the Thunder Charger", "Number 11: Big Eye", etc.
- Activate "Scapegoat" or "Stray Lambs" and then Tribute their Tokens for "Tribute Doll" on your next turn.
- For a more versatile strategy, you can use "Fiend's Sanctuary" and Tribute the "Metal Fiend Token" you Summon with its effect in the same turn.
- Use this card to Summon any one of these "HERO" monsters: "Elemental HERO Neos", "Elemental HERO Bladedge" or "Evil HERO Malicious Edge" (in the case you try to Summon "Malicious Edge" in your first turn.)

- Use this with "A Legendary Ocean" to Summon "Spiral Serpent" or "Gogiga Gagagigo".
- Tune the newly Summoned monster with a Level 1 Tuner for a quick Level 8 Synchro Monster.
- If you do Summon "Red-Eyes B. Dragon" with this card's effect, you can play "Inferno Fire Blast" for burn damage (since "Red-Eyes B. Dragon" cannot attack either way, so the drawback will not be as impairing).
- After using "Inferno Fire Blast", you can also use this strategy to Summon "Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon".
