"Urgent Tuning" is a good "partner" card with this card. This can be either in chain against "Synchro Material" (so long as "Synchro Material" would resolve first) or activated after you used Synchro Material that turn. It does not have to be in chain. This allows you to steal your opponent's monster for your Synchro Summon, and avoid the "cannot enter Battle Phase" clause (as it is your opponent's turn).
Remember that "Urgent Tuning" can only be used during a Battle Phase, and as such, your opponent could choose NOT to enter Battle if you activate "Synchro Material" too soon. With this in mind, use "Synchro Material" at the end of their Main Phase 1 when entering Battle Phase or at the start of their Battle Phase to make it unavoidable in this simple way with an immediate follow up with "Urgent Tuning." You could also "force" battle with cards such as "Staunch Defender," "Battle Mania" or "All-Out Attacks."
Because of this tactic, it is best to have a wide range of Levels among the Synchro Monsters in your your Extra Deck to be able to match up against the (obviously) uncontrollable Levels of your opponent's monsters. In that respect, having low-level Tuner Monsters available will assist as well.
Also, remember that while you can chain this card to "Urgent Tuning", you MUST have a possible Synchro Summon before activating "Urgent Tuning" (i.e. have another Synchro Summon available in case your opponent negates this card with a card like "Seven Tools of the Bandit"). After it is being resolved, you can Synchro Summon something else, including a Synchro Summon with an opponent's monster.
"Formula Synchron" under your control is another great option because of its effect to Synchro Summon on your opponent's turn. This being a similar tactic to the previous "Urgent Tuning" tip.
If you use this card during your own turn, this card is better used when either player cannot attack or will not attack, or if you plan to Synchro Summon a monster with a "burn" effect, thus making this kind of drawback less bothersome.
Activate multiple copies of this card so you can Synchro Summon using multiple monsters controlled by your opponent, simultaneously clearing their field and providing you with a strong monster.
This card works well with "Revival Gift", as you can get a Tuner monster back from your Graveyard and then Synchro Summon using one of the tokens that the card gives to your opponent.
With this card, you can get rid of opponent's troublesome monsters that are not very high in level, such as Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier and Synchro Summon your monster, this can cripple opponent for a few turns.
