You can use this card with "Saambell the Summoner" to Special Summon a higher-Level monster from your hand.

You can use this card to get a low Level Spellcaster-Type monster up to Level 6 or higher, for monsters that specifically require a Level 6 (or higher) Spellcaster for its Summoning, like "Magi Magi ☆ Magician Gal" and "Sorcerer of Dark Magic".

You can use this card with the "Fortune Lady" archetype to Special Summon one with a higher Level, and therefore, higher stats. If you banish a "Fortune Lady", it also sets up "Fortune's Future" should you banish a "Fortune Lady" for its cost. If another "Fortune Lady" is on the field, "Fortune Lady Water" will be activated if you choose to Special Summon her.

Note that this card increases the level of the resurrected monster only while it is equipped to that monster. If you want that monster to return back to its normal level, you can send this card to the graveyard with cards like "Heavy Storm" or "Emergency Provisions", while gaining another effect.

You can use this card with two of your highest-level Spellcaster-Type monsters in the Graveyard and the Equip Spell Card "Bound Wand". Use "Spellbook of Life" to banish one of your Spellcasters to Special Summon the other from the Graveyard, with the resurrected monster's Level raised by "Spellbook of Life". Then equip that monster with "Bound Wand" to increase its ATK by its raised Level. Depending on the original ATK of the selected monster, this can create a powerful beatstick.

This card can be combine with "Diffusion Wave-Motion" if banished the specify level Spellcaster to Special Summon the specify level Spellcaster.
