- This card can be searched via "Sangan", "Last Will", "Witch of the Black Forest", "Mystic Tomato", "Goblin Zombie" and "Pyramid Turtle".
- "Plague Wolf" works well with both "Crush Card Virus" and "Deck Devastation Virus", since its original ATK is 1000 and it can double its ATK to 2000 for one turn.
- Since this card destroys itself with its effect, then you can turn that to your advantage by using "Creature Swap" to give it your opponent and you taking one of theirs.
- This card works well with 3 "Soul-Absorbing Bone Tower" and "Zombie Master", as you can keep activating "Plague Wolf" effect which will send it to the graveyard then you can special summon it back with "Zombie Master" aslong as you have a monster in your hand to discard. This will cause your opponent to lose 6 cards off the top of their deck each turn with the "Soul-Absorbing Bone Tower" effects.
- With "Archfiend Zombie-Skull" you can use "Plague Wolf's" effect and it won't be destroyed by its own effect.
