- This card can be searched by "Dogu", "Single Purchase", "Temple of the Kings", "Transmodify", "Serpentine Princess", "Vampire Dragon", "Sphere of Chaos", "Dragunity Corsesca", "Painful Escape", "Ties of the Brethren", "Sangan", "Rescue Ferret", "Mother Grizzly", "Shark Cruiser", "Underworld Egg Clutch", "Mermail Abysspike", "Mermail Abysslinde", "Mermail Abyssnose", "Mermail Abyssocea", "Mermail Abyssteus" and "Abyss-sphere".
- Normal Summon "Mermail Abysspike" and use its effect, discarding this card to add "Mermail Abysshilde" to your hand. Use this card's effect to Special Summon "Mermail Abyssturge" from your Graveyard then use Mermail Abyssturge's effect, discarding the "Mermail Abysshilde" from your hand to add this card back to your hand from the Graveyard then Special Summon any "Mermail" from your hand (Using Mermail Abysshilde's Effect.) At this point you can easily have a powerful Rank 4 Xyz Monster.
- If "Lemuria, the Forgotten City" on the field, use its effect and make "Number 11: Big Eye", "Mermail Abyssgaios" or even "Number 7: Lucky Straight".
- Once "Mermail Abysstrite" is destroyed, if you have another "Mermail Abyssgunde" in your hand (or if you used the effect of "Mermail Abysstrite" then revive the first one by "Salvage"), you can use the effect "Mermail Abysstrite" to summon "Mermail Abysspike", discard "Mermail Abyssgunde", and use the effect of "Mermail Abyssgunde" to summon "Mermail Abysstrite". Or, if "Mermail Abyssturge" is in the Graveyard, you can discard "Mermail Abyssgunde" to bring back "Mermail Abyssdine", then not only summon "Mermail Abyssdine" and "Mermail Abyssgunde", but you can also have "Mermail Abyssgunde" revive either "Mermail - Abysslinde" for another summon of "Mermail Abysstrite", or the same "Mermail Abysstrite" that was destroyed.
