  • "Guardian of Felgrand" is an ideal monster to Special Summon by this card's effect, since it can immediately activate its effect to equip this card to it. Then, if "Guardian of Felgrand" ever gets sent to the Graveyard, this card can use its effect to Special Summon "Guardian of Felgrand" again.
    • "Dragunity Arma Leyvaten" or "Cyberdarkness Dragon" can be used to produce the same result, except that each of the 3 cards has their own strengths and weakness in enabling this combo.
    • "Paladin of Felgrand" can be used for similar effect, although this combo can only be performed up to the number of remaining copies of this card in the Deck. At the very least, this interaction can help prepare for the combo with "Guardian of Felgrand" or "Dragunity Arma Leyvaten".
    • A lesser "loop" can also be formed by Special Summoning "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon" with this card's effect (when destroyed), and then using that monster's effect to Special Summon "Divine Dragon Apocralyph", whose effect is used to retrieve this card. Then, both monsters are Tributed for this card's Tribute Summon. However, this "loop" is limited by the number of cards remaining in one's hand, as well as having "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon" survive for the duration of the opponent's turn (if applicable).
  • If this card's ATK/DEF becomes too low, to the point where the opponent's monsters can destroy it by battle and/or it cannot negate any more activations, card effects that flip this card face-down or temporarily negate its effects can be used to reset this card's ATK/DEF, such as "Book of Moon" and "Forbidden Chalice".
    • Alternatively, the cost to activate the effects of "Genex Ally Birdman" or "Swap Frog" can be used to return this card to the hand, which are impossible for this card to negate.
      • As such, this card can be a viable option in "Monarch" Decks that use "Frog" monsters as Tributes, since "Swap Frog" can first Special Summon itself, then return this useless card from the field to the hand for an extra Normal Summon of a "Frog" monster (which is then Normal Summoned), before both monsters are Tributed for this card's Tribute Summon.
  • The effect of "Splendid Venus" can allow its controller to activate Spell/Trap Cards freely while they also control this card, albeit at the cost of this card losing 500 ATK and DEF from that monster's other effect.
    • Alternatively, a combo of "Jinzo" and "Amplifier" (which are already on the field before this card is brought to the field) can allow one to activate the effects of Trap Cards freely (but not Trap Cards themselves), while also preventing the opponent from activating Trap Cards that could weaken this card.

Countering[]

  • This card's effect can negate the activations of cards and effects, but doesn't destroy them. Thus, even if this card has its full ATK, the activated effect of a monster on the field with more than 2300 ATK can render this card vulnerable to being destroyed by battle by that same monster.
    • It is also possible to use the effects of already active Spell/Trap Cards on the field in this manner, without fear of consequence.
