This card works well with a deck that revolves around a key Continuous Trap Card (ex. "Greed" or "Imperial Iron Wall").

Use this card to protect your activated Continuous Traps from card destroying effects so you can tribute them to summon "Uria, Lord of Searing Flames".

You can protect your "Call of the Haunted" from getting destroyed, thus preventing the monster attached to it from getting destroyed by it.

This card can also prevent other cards from destroying themselves, like "Sanguine Swamp". Along with "Skill Drain" and "Anti-Spell Fragrance", these cards can create an effect lockdown. (You must activate all other cards before "Sanguine Swamp" for this lockdown to work.)
- This can make for a normal-monster only duel. Note that Effects in the graveyard, ones that activate in your hand, and Continuous/Field spell cards on the field will still work.
- Use with "Beast Machine King Barbaros Ür", as it can be quickly summoned and has enough attack to press its advantage. Alternatively, use "Mausoleum of the Emperor" to help summon powerful beatsticks.

Use this card with Trap Monsters i.e. Continuous Trap Cards that become monsters but remain trap cards at the same time to create monsters that cannot be destroyed in battle or card effects until "Imperial Custom" is destroyed.
- "Cyber Shadow Gardna" can be specially useful, as, if it battles an opponent monster, only the opponent monster will be destroyed.

Use this for a lockdown in a Stall Removal deck. Have "Macro Cosmos" and "Wall of Revealing Light" and/or "Gravity Bind" active, then activate "Imperial Custom".

Combine this card with "Red Screen". Your opponent will be unable to attack you, plus the benefit of bringing back a level 1 monster at any time while you have a "Red Dragon Archfiend on your side of the field. This is also noting that the opponent will have to destroy this card before getting rid of "Red Screen".
- For level 1 monsters a good targets to abuse is "Jurrac Aeolo".

This card works well in protecting your Continuous Traps from mass destruction effects like "Heavy Storm", "Black Rose Dragon", etc. because this is the only face-up Continuous Trap Card that would be destroyed.
