- You can use "Gravity Bind" with cards that clear the field, like "Guardian Sphinx", so you can then attack with low Level monsters, like the Level 2 "Medusa Worm" or the Level 2 "Ebon Magician Curran", you can effectively disable your opponent. Or you could use "Gravity Bind" with cards that don't need to attack in order to damage your opponent's Life Points. The classic example is "Stealth Bird", but "Exxod, Master of The Guard", combined with "Medusa Worm" and/or "Guardian Sphinx" also works. "Chaos Necromancer" is a great card to use if you can get a lot of cards in your Graveyard.
- An Xyz Monster's Rank is not its Level. Xyz Monsters do not have Levels. Therefore, Xyz monsters can attack past "Gravity Bind."
- Since Xyz Monsters can attack past "Gravity Bind" and "Level Limit - Area B" they have an advantage over the popular Synchro Monsters when playing against a stalling deck.
- This card is also useful for stalling your opponent if you are trying to draw the 5 pieces of "Exodia".
- Combo this card with "Alector, Sovereign of Birds" and you'll be able to attack with level 4 or higher monsters while your opponent can't.
- This card can also be used with "Lava Golem".
- "Inaba White Rabbit" can attack while "Gravity Bind" is active, and avoid being destroyed should "Gravity Bind" be destroyed.
- If "Gravity Bind" is active while "A Legendary Ocean" is the current field card, all Level 4 WATER monsters can attack. Use this strategy with high ATK, level 4 WATER monsters like "Gagagigo", "Granadora" and "7 Colored Fish", as well as "Amphibious Bugroth MK-3" who can attack the opponent directly.
- Combine with "Spell Striker" to attack your opponent directly continuously.
- This card can be used in conjunction with "Cyber Tutu", "Drill Barnacle" or "Raging Flame Sprite" to attack the opponent directly in a continuous manner if the opponent uses strong monsters. Using a card like "Mist Body" or "Safe Zone" can help keep them on the field long enough for them to deal serious damage. "United We Stand" and "Mage Power" can power them up further.
- Your "Elemental HERO Wildheart" and "Tenkabito Shien" are unaffected by "Gravity Bind" and can still attack.
- Using the effect of "Cosmic Fortress Gol'gar" you can return this to your hand for an A-Counter then set it. You can activate it on your opponent's turn to prevent them from attacking. On your turn, you return it to your hand again and repeat.
- Although your monsters that are level 4 and higher can't attack, nothing stops you from summoning them. Play a monster with a high attack like "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" to ensure that your opponent won't be able to destroy it. This is useful for stalling.
- Equipping a higher level monster with one or more "Demotion" cards is a good offensive strategy.
- This works even better if you can get your monster's level down to 3 so that it can use "Sword of the Soul-Eater".
- Use with "Anteatereatingant" or "Swarm of Locusts" to destroy one Spell or Trap card your opponent controls per turn.
- Use in a Burn Deck to stall and deal damage with your burn cards.
- The "Meklord Emperors" can benefit greatfully, being level 1 Monsters.
- Great in an Iron Chain deck as it prevents you opponent from destroying your monsters (most of the time) allowing you to use Poison Chain to its full potential.
- Can be searched via "A Cat of Ill Omen".
- If you build up a good amount of monsters on your field, and you're in a position where you could potentially win if "Gravity Bind" wasn't on the field, summon "Jinzo" and deal maximum damage to the opposition
- "Copycat" can be very useful if your opponent has a monster with high ATK on the field.
- Summon a monster with high ATK, and use "Feedback Warrior" to make it Level 3, allowing you to attack with it.
- If you can get a lot of cards in your hand, use "Tragoedia" and select a level 3 or lower monster in the graveyard. You can also use his effect to discard monsters from your hand that cannot be summoned while "Gravity Bind" is on the field, and take control of your opponent's monsters, assuming they are the appropriate Levels.
- Use this with "Tyrant's Temper" so that only your opponent's monsters will be affected.
- You can create a lock with this card using "Mist Valley Thunder Lord" or "Darkness Neosphere".
- When high ATK monsters are on the field e.g. ATK of 2500 above, you can stall until you have the cards "Black Magic Ritual" and a level 1 or above monster to ritual summon "Relinquished", which is a level one card and use its effect on a high ATK monster.
- This card can help protect Raging Flame Sprite while it gains attack points through its effect.
- Use this card in a Wight deck since King of the Skull Servants is only a level 1 monster and can gain a large amount of attack points through its effect.
