• If used to Fusion Summon monsters that require a great amount of Monster Materials (like "Chimeratech Overdragon" or "Worm Zero"), this card can be a useful Deck Thinner and/or Graveyard Filler. This can be useful for many different strategies:
  • Filling your graveyard
    • Use this card in combination with "Exchange of the Spirit". Use this to Summon "Chimeratech Overdragon", banishing at least 15 Machine-type monsters from your deck. Then activate "Exchange of the Spirit" during your opponent's turn, causing them to lose by deck-out on their next turn.
    • This card can serve as a double "Foolish Burial" in a Gemini monsters deck, providing targets for "Blazewing Butterfly", "Woodland Archer", "Supervise" and "Black Brutdrago" while also sending high level creatures such as "Phoenix Gearfried", "Chthonian Emperor Dragon" and "Grasschopper to the graveyard to be Special Summoned later, while also preventing you from dead drawing them.
    • You can send 1 DARK Fiend-Type and 1 LIGHT Fairy-Type to your Graveyard by selecting "St. Joan" as your Fusion Monster. That's half the requirement of "Sky Scourge Norleras" or "Sky Scourge Enrise" that's all you need for "Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning", "Chaos Emperor Dragon - Envoy of the End", or "Chaos Sorcerer".
    • By sending 3 DARK Dragon type monsters to your graveyard and 2 other Dragon type monsters, you can easily special summon a "Dark Armed Dragon" and in two turns you will get "Five-Headed Dragon" onto the field as well.
    • In a Dragunity deck, this card, combined with "Five-Headed Dragon", can be used as a "Painful Choice" + 1. Send Dragon-type "Dragunity" monsters to your graveyard, and they can be latter equipped with your other "Dragunity" monsters, and in 2 turns, if your "Future Fusion" isn't destroyed, you will have a massive monster.
      • In a Dragunity deck that has a few DARK Dragons, you can send both Dragon-type Dragunity monsters and DARK Dragons to Special Summon "Dark Simorgh".
    • Target "Five-Headed Dragon" and then use "Pot of Avarice", essentially getting you a free F.G.D. (If Future Fusion isn't destroyed)
    • Send 5 DARK monsters when choosing "Five-Headed Dragon" or "Chimeratech Overdragon" as the Fusion monster so that you can easily Summon "Dark Creator", then you can Summon whatever monster that is useful at that moment.
    • Use this card with "UFOroid Fighter" and select "Necro Gardna" as the other Fusion Material Monster to use his effect later on, plus you get an 1800 ATK monster after 2 turns.
  • Summoning monsters from graveyard
    • You can send a massive amount of machines to the Graveyard by selecting "Chimeratech Overdragon" as your Fusion Monster. Players often then use "Bazoo the Soul-Eater", "Skull Lair" or "Overload Fusion" to banish that machines, then summon them with "Dimension Fusion" and "Return from the Different Dimension".
    • You can send 3 "Jinzo - Returner" and 3 "Jinzo" to the graveyard and use "Jinzo - Returner"'s effect and Special Summon all 3 "Jinzo".
    • "Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem" works well due to the fact that if "Ultimate" is destroyed by Future Fusion's effect, you can bring back an "Ancient Gear Golem".
  • Fusing from your graveyard
    • By sending 5 Dragon-type monsters to your graveyard with "Future Fusion" (including 3 "Blue-Eyes White Dragon"), you can use "Dragon's Mirror" to obtain either two "Five-Headed Dragon"s or a Five-Headed and "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon".
    • If you select an Elemental Hero monster as your Fusion Monster, it will also send those monsters into the Graveyard, which you can then fuse with "Miracle Fusion" or "Dark Calling". The best monster to use for this would be "Elemental Hero Electrum", which will put 4 Elemental Heroes in the Graveyard. Then, when "Miracle Fusion" is used for a second "Elemental Hero Electrum", its effect will send all four Elemental Heroes back to your Deck to be used again later in the Duel.
    • This combo is great for later in a duel. Use Future Fusion to send "Cyberdark Horn", "Cyberdark Edge", and "Cyberdark Keel" to the graveyard, then activate "Cyberdark Impact!" to send them back into the deck to get out a "Cyberdark Dragon" instantly, and equip him with a Dragon from your graveyard, then 2 turns later, you get your second one.
      • This combo can also be used in reverse order, using "Cyberdark Impact!" first, then activating Future Fusion to send them back from the deck to the Graveyard, and follow it up with "Overload Fusion" to special summon a third one.
  • Get one strong offensive
    • Activate "Future Fusion" to Special Summon 1 "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon", activate "De-Fusion" then "Delta Attacker" to inflict 9000 damage.
    • You can use this card to Summon "Worm Zero" with 13,000 ATK if you use the other 25 Duel Terminal series Worms, as well as "Worm Drake". Then use Zero's effect to send all of your opponent's monsters to the Graveyard.
    • You can target "Chimeratech Overdragon" and send 15 DARK Machine-type monsters to the graveyard and remove 7 to summon "Rainbow Dark Dragon", and then remove the rest to boost its ATK to 8000 for a possible OTK
  • Dragon-oriented combos
    • Dragon cards can be used in conjunction with Future Fusion to perform an OTK. If you have Future Fusion and "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon" in your hand with 1 playable Dragon, "Monster Reborn", and "Giant Trunade", you can use Giant Trunade to remove all Spell and Trap Cards from the field. Then, activate "Future Fusion", select "Five-Headed Dragon", and send four high-ATK Dragon cards plus 1 "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon" from your deck to the Graveyard. Play the playable Dragon from your hand and use the effect of the Red-Eyes in your hand to banish the dragon and summon Red-Eyes. Then, activate "Monster Reborn" to revive the Red-Eyes in your Graveyard. Activate "REDMD"'s effect to Special Summon your high-ATK Dragons from the Graveyard.
    • Activate "Future Fusion" and choose 3 "The White Stone of Legend" and 2 other dragons, to summon "Five-Headed Dragon" in 2 turns, plus you get to add 3 "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" to your hand. If you have "Polymerization" in your hand, you can summon a "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon", if you have a "Dragon's Mirror" you can summon a "Five-Headed Dragon" before the other is Summoned in 2 turns. Or use the 3 "Blue-Eyes White Dragon"s to special summon "Montage Dragon" with 7200 ATK.
      • You can also use "Red-Eyes Wyvern" and "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon" as the other two monsters for Future Fusion, and as long as you did not Normal Summon or Set this turn you will have "REDMD", plus three Blue-Eyes and a F.G.D. coming in two turns.
        • An even more powerful version of this last strategy is to use "Future Fusion" to send 5 Dragons to the Graveyard, then use "Giant Trunade" and use "Future Fusion" again. This time send 2 "Red-Eyes Wyvern" and 2 "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon". Activate "Dragon's Mirror" to summon "Five-Headed Dragon", but don't banish the "Red-Eyes" monsters. At the End Phase of your turn, activate Wyvern's effect to Summon both of the REDMDs. That is 2 "REDMD"s summoned in one turn, a "Five-Headed Dragon" in 2 turns, and you can use the REDMD's to later Summon Dragons that weren't banished by "Dragon's Mirror". The best thing is this strategy only requires having 3 cards in your hand.

• After activating "Future Fusion", use "Swords of Revealing Light", or "Nightmare's Steelcage", to stall for time until your Fusion Monster is Summoned to the field.

• Do not actually attempt to Summon "Chimeratech Overdragon" with this card and expect it to stay on the field. "Chimeratech"'s effect will destroy "Future Fusion" when it is summoned, thus also destroying itself. Instead, use Future Fusion's cost to fill up your graveyard, then use "Overload Fusion".

• If you have "Spell Canceller" on the field you can use an effect to destroy "Future Fusion" without destroying your Fusion Monster.

• Use "Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier", "Giant Trunade" or "Ally of Justice Cyclone Creator" to re-use this card so that you can send more monsters to the Graveyard then you can use the tips above this one even better.

• Use this card, revealing "Elemental HERO Divine Neos", to send monsters you can later return to your Deck with "Miracle Contact".
