• Use "DNA Surgery" or "Ivy Shackles" to make your opponents monsters Plant-Type so that they can be targeted by this card.

• By Normal Summoning or Special Summoning a monster while Black Garden is in play, your opponent will get a Rose Token, which is a Plant-Type monster. Then, you can activate this card and destroy that Rose Token, allowing you to draw up to 2 cards from your Deck.

• If you are trying to summon a particular monster from the Graveyard by Black Garden's effect, you can use this card to regulate the number of Plant-Type monsters on the field so you can have the precise ATK needed.

• This is a perfect side deck card against Plant decks.

• "Creature Swap" your own Plant-Type Monster and then use Fragrance Storm.
