- This card can be searched by "Single Purchase", "Resonator Engine", "Vampire Dragon", “Witch of the Black Forest”, "Dragunity Corsesca", "Dark General Freed", "Creeping Darkness", "Chaos Zone", "Startime Magician", "Dragodies, the Empowered Warrior" and "Spellbook Star Hall".
- Because of "Necrovalley", "Exodia Necross" works very well in a Gravekeeper deck.
- You can also use "The End of Anubis" or "Chaos Hunter" for a more complete lockdown.
- Outside of a Gravekeeper deck, "Imperial Iron Wall" provides another defense. Since your opponent can't banish the cards from the grave, it easily reduces the options your opponent has to counter this card.
- Use "Safe Zone" on "Exodia Necross", in order to make him almost completely invincible, as it can't be targeted or destroyed by battle, monster effects, spells or traps. And even if "Safe Zone" is destroyed, "Necross" can't be destroyed by its effect.
- "Dimension Guardian" also works.
- Use "Spirit Barrier" so Exodia Necross nether can be destroyed by battle or take battle damage from battles.
Counter Tips[]
- "Exodia Necross" can be removed from the field by Spell/Trap cards that do not destroy, or by monster effects that destroy (such as "Hieratic Sun Dragon Overlord of Heliopolis").
- Banished with cards such as "Dimensional Prison".
- Returned to the hand with cards such as "Compulsory Evacuation Device".
- Tributed with cards such as "Soul Exchange".
- The effects of "Exodia Necross" can be negated in various decks with cards such as "Skill Drain", "Lose 1 Turn", "Ruins of the Divine Dragon Lords", "Divine Dragon Knight Felgrand", "Number 107: Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon" (or "Number C107") or "Effect Veiler".
- "Raiza the Storm Monarch" can turn "Exodia Necross" into a dead draw.
Traditional Format[]
- Use "Painful Choice" to quickly put the Exodia pieces into the Graveyard.
