• "Destiny HERO - Malicious" works well with cards that require you to discard, such as "Lightning Vortex", "Card Destruction" and "Destiny Draw", because his effect works better in the Graveyard than in the hand.

• Once in the Graveyard, "Destiny HERO - Malicious" often works best with monsters (such as "Jinzo" and the Monarchs), Spells ("Monster Gate" and "Enemy Controller") or Traps ("Crush Card Virus" and "Chaos Burst") that require a Tribute. Combining "Destiny HERO- Malicious" with "Destiny Draw" and Monarchs can help you to gain card advantage very quickly.

• You can use "Foolish Burial" to get this card in the Graveyard for a Tribute Summon.

• If this card is in your hand and the other one is in your Deck use "Morphing Jar" or "Card Destruction" to put "Destiny HERO - Malicious" in your Graveyard and, then you activate its effect.

• If "Destiny HERO - Malicious" is in your Graveyard, you can Special Summon another copy to your side on the field, Normal Summon a Level 2 Tuner monster and send them both to the Graveyard to Synchro Summon a Level 8 Synchro Monster.
  • Or, you can Normal Summon "Arcane Apprentice" and use those two monsters to Synchro Summon either "Stardust Dragon", "Red Dragon Archfiend" or "Colossal Fighter". You'll easily get their /Assault Mode counterparts.
  • Or, if you have other strong monsters you want to Normal Summon, you can use "Emergency Teleport" to Special Summon a "Krebons", tune it to "Destiny HERO - Malicious", Synchro Summon a Level 8 Synchro Monster, and call out your other monsters.

• If you lack strong cards in your hand, you can use cards like "Soul Exchange" to steal one of your opponent's and Tribute Set "Malicious".

• If you draw multiple copies of this card, use "Reload" or "Magical Mallet" to return them to the Deck in exchange for better cards.

• After you've summoned a second "Destiny HERO - Malicious" with the effect of the first, summon "Elemental HERO Electrum" or "Necroface" to restart the cycle.

• Use "Plaguespreader Zombie" if you have extras of this card in your hand. Put this card on the top of your Deck and banish "Destiny HERO - Malicious" from your Graveyard.

• Send this card to the Graveyard with "Armageddon Knight".
