Xyz Summoning[]
- This card can be Xyz Summoned (via "Cyber Dragon Nova") in "Galaxy", "Deskbot" and "Dinomist" Decks, as well as "Cyber Dragon".
- You can use "Rank-Up-Magic Astral Force" on "Constellar Praesepe" or "Number 36: Chronomaly Chateau Huyuk".
- In a "Raidraptor" Deck, "Rank-Up-Magic Soul Shave Force" can be used to Special Summon a Rank 4 "Raidraptor" monster from the Graveyard and then Xyz Summon this card.
- To Xyz Summon this card without using Xyz Evolution or a "Rank-Up-Magic" card:
- Special Summon "UFOroid" (except by its own effect), then activate "Inferno Reckless Summon" to bring out two more copies of it. You can also use "Inferno Reckless Summon" on "Chronomaly Golden Jet", then apply the effect of two of the three copies in order to have 3 Level 6 LIGHT Machine monsters to overlay for this card.
Countering[]
- "Ghost Reaper & Winter Cherries" can be used to banish all copies of this card or "Cyber Dragon Nova" from the opponent's Extra Deck before they could Xyz Summon it.
- A "Superheavy Samurai" Deck can easily handle this card, since they are virtually immune to this card's attaching effect, as they normally stay in Defense Position and also because they usually have a higher DEF than this card's ATK (nominally 2700), being capable of defeating it in battle, even in the scenario in which this card's ATK could be increased by "Honest".
- This card can be Tributed for the Special Summon of "Lava Golem", "Santa Claws" or a "Kaiju" monster.
- This card can be sent to the Graveyard for the Special Summon of "Chimeratech Megafleet Dragon", either if the opponent controls only this card in the Extra Monster Zone (in which case, a player must control another "Cyber Dragon" monster), OR if the opponent controls both this card in a Main Monster Zone and a monster in the Extra Monster Zone. Also, it can be Summoned by sending this card in the Extra Monster Zone and a "Cyber Dragon Vier" the opponent may be using to increase this card's ATK/DEF.
- This card can be baited to negate an effect, then "Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit" can be used to destroy it. Despite the first card will still be negated and destroyed, at least this card will be gone, since it won't be able to negate the effect of "Snow Rabbit".
- "Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit" can also be activated when the opponent activates the effect of "Tellarknight Ptolemaeus", so that it will be destroyed before it could Xyz Summon "Cyber Dragon Nova".
