OK this is a tough question which to me seems simple but I know some rather arrogant people.

I have one reverse card and a face up gozen match in my spell trap zones in my monster zone I have four sheep token Attribute earth. my opponent has lets say no reverse and a blue eyes. My turn activate reverse its a brain control. What happens. i think that the brain control can still target but it cannot take control as gozen match says you may not control monsters with the different attributes. I believe it is like Imperial iron wall (which stops cards being removed)and Caius, Caius can still target but it cannot remove the card this works to get rid of things such as spirit reaper. If gozen match is active you cannot control more than one attribute of monster. So if i brain control i can target but unless the monsters attribute is the same as the monster/s i already have i cannot take control of it. (the reason i say this is because a similar situation hapened to me and he took my monster with brain control and he destroyed it.) I dont think he should be able to takee it over if it is face up and a different attribute. If you know the link to the official rulings please tell me. —This unsigned comment was made by 99.245.56.127 (talkcontribs) 23:40, 2 April 2009

"Gozen Match" works the same way as "Rivalry of Warlords", so you should use the same rulings. Just replace "Type" with "Attribute".
If "Rivalry of Warlords" is active and you take control of your opponent's face-up monster with "Change of Heart" or "Snatch Steal", and that monster is a different Type than your other face-up monster(s), your opponent's monster is destroyed.
