OCG Rulings[]
- When "Mist Valley Falcon" attacks by returning "Yubel - Terror Incarnate" to the hand, you can activate the effect of "Yubel - Terror Incarnate" which Special Summons "Yubel - The Ultimate Nightmare".[1]
Previously Official Rulings[]
These TCG rulings were issued by Upper Deck Entertainment and have since been deemed unofficial by Konami.[2] They were previously considered official and can still be correct, as long as they follow the official gameplay rules, or unless Konami has issued a ruling that says otherwise. - When "Yubel - The Ultimate Nightmare" battles with a monster that cannot be destroyed by its effect, like "Vennominaga the Deity of Poisonous Snakes", "Yubel - The Ultimate Nightmare's" effect still inflicts damage but will not destroy the monster.
- When "Yubel - The Ultimate Nightmare" destroys a monster in battle, its effect still inflicts damage but the effect to destroy the monster it battled with disappears.
Mentions in Other Rulings
- Yubel - Terror Incarnate: When a face-up "Yubel - Terror Incarnate" is sent to the Graveyard, removed from play, or returned to its owner's hand, its effect to Special Summon "Yubel - The Ultimate Nightmare" activates. This effect cannot be activated when it is returned to its owner's Deck.
