OCG Rulings[]
- "Tytannial, Princess of Camellias"'s effect can be used against Continuous Spell Cards and Continuous Trap Cards which are already face-up. The effect must be chainable, and must target a card on the field.[2]
- Example: "Tytannial, Princess of Camellias" can be used against "Blaze Accelerator" and "Pitch-Black Power Stone".
- You can activate this effect in the Damage Step.[3]
- "Tytannial, Princess of Camellias" can Tribute herself to activate her effect.[4]
- If "Gozen Match" is activated, then you can only activate the effect of "Lonefire Blossom" if you have a FIRE Plant-Type monster in your Deck; you cannot activate the effect if you do not have any FIRE Plant-Type monsters in your Deck. However, if "Lonefire Blossom" Tributes itself and afterwards there are no monsters on your field, then when resolving the effect of "Lonefire Blossom" you can choose to Special Summon a WIND monster like "Tytannial, Princess of Camellias".[5]
Previously Official Rulings[]
These TCG rulings were issued by Upper Deck Entertainment and have since been deemed unofficial by Konami.[6] They were previously considered official and can still be correct, as long as they follow the official gameplay rules, or unless Konami has issued a ruling that says otherwise. - Tributing 1 face-up Plant-Type monster you control is a cost to activate "Tytannial, Princess of Camellias'" Quick Effect. This effect can be activated in the Damage Step.
- "Tytannial, Princess of Camellias" can be Tributed to activate its own effect.
- "Tytannial, Princess of Camellias's" effect can be chained when the effect of a Continuous Spell or Trap Card is activated.
- During the Damage Step, "Tytannial, Princess of Camellias" can Tribute a Plant-Type monster that is attacking or being attacked to activate its effect. If the Plant-Type monster that is attacking or being attacked is Tributed before damage calculation, damage calculation does not occur. If the Plant-Type monster is destroyed by the battle, it cannot be Tributed to activate "Tytannial, Princess of Camellias'" effect.
