- Trigon's effect activates at the end of the Damage Step. It's considered the effect of a Spell Card.[1]
- If Trigon is equipped to a monster that is not affected by Spell Cards, its effect to Special Summon a monster will still activate and resolve successfully.[1]
- Trigon's effect to Special Summon a monster starts a Chain.[1]

- Dragon Laser: Dragon Laser targets the Trigon, it is not a cost.
- Dragon Laser: If you cannot send the Trigon to the Graveyard, because it isn't on the field or because it would be removed from play instead of sent to the Graveyard, you cannot destroy your opponent's monsters.
