OCG Rulings[]
- If you have multiple copies of a monster like "Treeborn Frog" or "The Immortal Bushi" or "Totem Dragon" in your Graveyard during your Standby Phase, then after you Special Summon one copy of "Treeborn Frog", you control a monster, so you cannot Special Summon a second copy of "Treeborn Frog". In total, you can only Special Summon one monster like "Treeborn Frog" or "The Immortal Bushi" or "Totem Dragon".[1]
Previously Official Rulings[]
These TCG rulings were issued by Upper Deck Entertainment and have since been deemed unofficial by Konami.[2] They were previously considered official and can still be correct, as long as they follow the official gameplay rules, or unless Konami has issued a ruling that says otherwise. - "The Immortal Bushi's" second effect is an Ignition Effect you activate during your Standby Phase.
- If an effect chained to "The Immortal Bushi's" effect places a monster(s) onto your side of the field, "The Immortal Bushi's" effect disappears.
- If an effect chained to "The Immortal Bushi's" effect removes "The Immortal Bushi" from play, its effect disappears.
