Previously Official Rulings[]
These TCG rulings were issued by Upper Deck Entertainment and have since been deemed unofficial by Konami.[1] They were previously considered official and can still be correct, as long as they follow the official gameplay rules, or unless Konami has issued a ruling that says otherwise. Mentions in Other Rulings
- Fatal Abacus: For the effect of "Fatal Abacus" to trigger, a Monster Card that is being treated as a monster must be sent from the field to the Graveyard. This means that a Monster Card equipped to..."Sword Hunter" that is sent to the Graveyard will not trigger this effect...
- Grave Protector: If "Grave Protector" is on the field, a monster destroyed by "Sword Hunter" is shuffled into the Deck instead of becoming an Equip Spell Card.
- Guardian Tryce: If "Guardian Tryce" is an Equip Spell Card equipped to..."Sword Hunter", and "Guardian Tryce" is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, his effect activates.
- Morale Boost: "Morale Boost"'s effect includes when monsters are equipped to..."Sword Hunter", and when such equipped monsters are removed from the field.
- Neo-Spacian Dark Panther: If you target..."Sword Hunter" then you can equip "Neo-Spacian Dark Panther" with Monster Cards through the copied effect, but at the end of the turn, the effect that allowed them to be equipped disappears, and the equipped cards are destroyed.
Out of Date
- Collected Power: Monster Cards equipped to "Sword Hunter" can be moved to another "Sword Hunter", but if they are moved to any other monster they are destroyed.[Notes 1]
- Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys: If "Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys" is destroyed while it is not a Monster Card, such as when it is equipped to..."Sword Hunter", its effect does not activate and it is not Special Summoned.[Notes 2]
Notes[]
- ↑ Version 8.0 of the official rulebook states that monsters treated as Equip Cards (except Union monsters equipped by their own effects) cannot be moved to a different target, even by card effects that would normally be able to do so.
- ↑ The newest errata of "Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys" has Problem-Solving Card Text which shows its effect to Special Summon itself will activate regardless of whether it was destroyed as a monster.
