OCG Rulings

• The "You can target 1 face-up Xyz Monster your opponent controls; equip this monster from your hand or your side of the field to that target." effect is an Ignition Effect that activates in your hand or your side of the field.

• The "You can target 1 face-up Xyz Monster your opponent controls; equip this monster from your hand or your side of the field to that target." effect targets 1 face-up Xyz Monster your opponent controls.

• The "If the equipped monster has no Xyz Material while equipped by this effect, destroy it." effect is treated as the effect of an Equip Spell Card. (It does not start a Chain Link.)

• The "While this card is equipped to an Xyz Monster, during each of your opponent's Standby Phases: Detach 1 Xyz Material from the equipped monster." effect is treated as the effect of an Equip Spell Card. (It starts a Chain Link.)

• If an Xyz Monster equipped with "Explossum" by its own effect is affected by "Forbidden Lance", then even if it has no Xyz Materials the "If the equipped monster has no Xyz Material while equipped by this effect, destroy it." effect is not applied. (However, when the effect of "Forbidden Lance" disappears, the Xyz Monster is destroyed immediately) Also even if the equipped monster is affected by "Forbidden Lance", the "While this card is equipped to an Xyz Monster, during each of your opponent's Standby Phases: Detach 1 Xyz Material from the equipped monster." effect is applied normally and 1 Xyz Material is detached.

• If an Xyz Monster equipped with "Explossum" activates its effect by detaching its last Xyz Material as a cost, the equipped Xyz Monster will be destroyed immediately. Even in this case, its effect will be treated as being activated on the field.

• When the effect of "Explossum" resolves and is equipped to an Xyz Monster without Xyz Material, the "If the equipped monster has no Xyz Material while equipped by this effect, destroy it." is applied immediately and the Xyz Monster is destroyed.
