OCG Rulings
Mentions in Other Rulings
- When a monster's attack is negated by "Magic Cylinder", the monster is not treated as having declared an attack, so the effect of "Red Dragon Archfiend" will still destroy it during the End Phase.[1]
- "Equip Shot" moves the game forward to Damage Calculation. "Mirror Force", "Sakuretsu Armor", etc cannot be activated in response to the "attack".[2]
- If "Magic Cylinder" is chained to "Light End Dragon"'s effect, then "Light End Dragon"'s effect still resolves, even though the attack was negated.[3]
Previously Official Rulings
These TCG rulings were issued by Upper Deck Entertainment and have since been deemed unofficial by Konami.[4] They were previously considered official and can still be correct, as long as they follow the official gameplay rules, or unless Konami has issued a ruling that says otherwise. - You activate "Draining Shield" when the monster controlled by your opponent declares an attack.
- You gain Life Points for "Draining Shield" equal to the attacking monster's current ATK.
