OCG Rulings[]
- The effect of "Dark Master - Zorc" is an Ignition Effect.[1]
- This effect does not target. (When resolving this effect, roll a six-sided die and apply the appropriate effect.)[1]
- When the effect "destroy all monsters you control if you roll 6" is applied, all monsters you control are destroyed, including the "Dark Master - Zorc" that activated this effect.[1]
- The effect of "Dark Master - Zorc" can be activated even if your opponent controls no monsters.[1]
- Starlight Road: "Starlight Road" cannot be Chained to the activation of effects like that of "Dark Master - Zorc" or "Time Wizard", since it is unknown whether or not the effect will destroy two cards on your side of the field.[2]
Previously Official Rulings[]
These TCG rulings were issued by Upper Deck Entertainment and have since been deemed unofficial by Konami.[4] They were previously considered official and can still be correct, as long as they follow the official gameplay rules, or unless Konami has issued a ruling that says otherwise. - Because "Dark Master - Zorc's" effect is an Ignition Effect, you roll the die during Main Phase 1 or 2 of your turn only.
- If you roll a 6, "Dark Master - Zorc" is also destroyed.
Judge List Rulings
- You can only roll the 6-sided die once per turn.[3]
