TCG Rulings
- Tributing 1 Fairy-Type monster, except "Athena", is a cost to activate "Athena's" Ignition Effect.[1]
- "Athena's" first effect does not inflict damage when it is Summoned.[1]
- If multiple Fairy-Type monsters are Special Summoned by the same effect, "Athena" inflicts 600 damage to the opponent's Life Points. If 2 or more effects on the Chain Special Summon a Fairy-Type monster, "Athena's" effect will inflict 600 damage for each effect.[1]
OCG Rulings
- You can Special Summon the same monster sent to the Graveyard to activate the effect.[3]
- You cannot activate activate the effect if there is no Fairy-Type monster in the Graveyard that you can Special Summon, even if you intend on Special Summoning the monster sent to the Graveyard to activate the effect.[3]
- When multiple Fairy-Type monster are Summoned simultaneously, the effect activates once and you inflict only 600 damage.[5]
