Anime[]

Season 1[]

  • In episode 2, this card is shown in Jaden's hand during his duel against Chazz Princeton. When Chazz had the advantage after summoning "Mefist the Inferal General", Jaden looked at this card and states to it that he knows that the odds are against him, but he will try his luck on his Draw Phase to see if he can win. Jaden drew the card he needed to win, but the Duel prematurely ended due to external influences.
  • In episode 5, this card appears in a flashback Jaden has when he notes to his friends that he has been hearing the voices from his monsters again.
  • In episode 8, Jaden draws this card and "Transcendent Wings" through the effect of "Elemental Hero Bubbleman" during his Duel against Zane Truesdale. After Jaden drew this card and "Transcendent Wings", he had planned to use the two cards in a combo on his next turn in order to win the Duel as he remembered how "Transcendent Wings" saved him last time. Jaden did not get the chance to do so as Zane defeated him before then.
  • In episode 14, Jaden draws this card during his Duel against Jinzo. When Jaden draws this card, its spirit appears right next to him. Jaden then tells Jinzo that unlike it, his Duel Spirit does not need sacrifices to power itself, as it is linked to his own heart.
  • In episode 16, Jaden uses this card during his duel against the Duel Giant (who was actually Beauregard in disguise). He summons this card in Defense Position. "Giant Orc" then attacks and destroys this card.
  • In episode 17, this card is shown in Damon's flashback where it was shown going down a waterfall as part of Damon's training montage.
  • In episode 18, Jaden is shown looking at this card and making notes about Yugi Muto's Deck after he finds out that Yugi's Deck is on display.
  • In episode 23, this card can be seen when Jaden is rebuilding his Deck.
  • In episode 26, Jaden uses this card during his Duel against Chazz. He summons this card in Defense Position. "Armed Dragon LV7" then attacks and destroys this card. Syrus wondered why Chazz didn't use the effect of "Armed Dragon LV7" to destroy this card. Bastion explained that since this card was destroyed, its effect will prevent Jaden from taking Battle Damage for the remainder of the turn, which would mean Chazz would have wasted the effect of "Armed Dragon LV7" for nothing had he activated it.
  • In episode 28, Jaden uses this card during his duel against Graverkeeper's Chief. He summons this card in Defense Position. "Gravekeeper's Assailant" then attacks thsi card, but Jaden activates "Transcendent Wings" in response. However the Chief discards "Gravekeeper's Watcher" to negate the effect of "Transcendent Wings" and destroy it. "Gravekeeper's Assailant" then destroys this card.
    • After Jaden and company get back to the real world, he picks this card up and wonders if what happened was just a dream, however he sees the Shadow Charm that the Chief gave him and this is enough for Jaden to realize that wasn't a dream.

Season 2[]

  • In episode 53, Jaden uses this card during his Duel against Aster Phoenix. He summons this card via "The Flute of Summoning Kuriboh". A replay then occurs and Aster uses "Archlord Zerato" to attack and destroy this card.
  • In episode 58, this card can be seen when Jaden is shown shuffling his Deck in the Ra Yellow Dorm.
  • In episode 60, this card can be seen when Syrus Truesdale checks Jaden's deck, after the latter claims that all his cards are blank.
    • In the same episode, Jaden drops this card and "Bubbleman" from his hand during his Duel against Chazz when the former finds himself unable to Duel due to him being unable to see any of his cards.
  • In episode 62, this card appears in a flashback Jaden has when he questions himself why should he be at Duel Academy if he can't see his own cards.
  • In episode 66, this card appears in a flashback Jaden has when he sees Wheeler as Chazz which makes Jaden remember his second Duel against Chazz.
    • This card is also seen in a flashback Jaden has when he sees Wheeler as Zane which makes Jaden remember his first Duel against Zane.
  • In episode 67, this card is seen in a flashback Jaden has when he explains to his friends what he was doing while trying to find a way back to Duel Academy. This card is shown in Jaden's thoughts when he notes this card is the only card he has left that is still blank. Jaden then hears a voice coming from the forest and quickly runs off to find the forest. Upon entering the forest, Jaden finds a rainbow pillar that was created by this card. Jaden then sees his Spirit Partner in the pillar. This card's spirit then goes into the remaining blank card Jaden has. This turns the blank card back into a visible card. Jaden becomes happy that he is reunited with his Spirit Partner.
  • In episode 74, during Jaden's Duel against Princess Rose, this card is shown when Jaden searches his Deck after he activates "Hero Signal".
  • In episode 80, Jaden uses this card during his duel against Alice. He summons this card via "The Flute of Summoning Kuriboh". Jaden then activates "Transcendent Wings" to send this card to the Graveyard and Special Summon "Winged Kuriboh LV10".
  • In episode 96, Jaden uses this card during his duel against Dr. Eisenstein. He summons this card via "The Flute of Summoning Kuriboh". A replay then occurs and Eisenstein uses "Brain Dragon" to attack and destroy this card.

Season 3[]

  • In episode 105, this card appears in a flashback Jaden has when he notes that even though he lost to Aster when the latter used his real Deck, it gave him the chance to see the Neo-Spacians who later became his friends.
  • In episode 127, a group of Duel Ghouls (which includes Syrus Truesdale) summon many monsters and use them to attack Jaden directly, but this card's spirit appears and activates its effect to reduce the Battle Damage Jaden would take to 0. This action creates a blinding light that distracts the Duel Ghouls, allowing Jaden to get away from them.
  • In episode 132, Jaden uses this card during his duel against Sky Scout. He Special Summons this card via "A Hero Emerges". Jaden then activates "Transcendent Wings" to send this card to the Graveyard and Special Summon "Winged Kuriboh LV10".
  • In episode 152, Jaden uses this card during his duel against Jesse Anderson while the latter was possessed by Yubel. He Special Summons this card via "The Flute of Summoning Kuriboh". A replay then occurs and Jesse uses "Rainbow Dark Dragon" to attack and destroy this card. Before this card is sent to the Graveyard, Jaden enters a vision within this card's light where he meets the "Crystal Beasts" in their true regular form. Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus explains to Jaden what is going on and "Crystal Beast Amethyst Cat" explains that the Crystal Beasts are safe here from "Yubel". They then explain what Jaden must do in order to free the Crystal Beasts and Jesse from Yubel's control before the vision that Jaden has ends. Once that happens, this card goes to the Graveyard and Jaden thanks this card for its help.
  • In episode 156, this card is shown in a flashback Chazz has when he notes that he was the emperor of Duel Academy until Jaden thrusted him down into the bowels of the Earth.

Season 4[]

  • In episode 161, this card is shown when Jaden looks through his Deck before he enters the Tag Duel party.
  • In episode 170, during Jaden's Duel against Sartorius, this card can be seen when Jaden searches his Deck to Special Summon "Arcana Force 0 - The Fool". In the next episode, Jaden Special Summons this card via "The Flute of Summoning Kuriboh". Jaden then activates "Transcendent Wings" to send this card to the Graveyard and Special Summon "Winged Kuriboh LV10".
  • In episode 178, this card can be seen in the background when Jaden makes his speech to Nightshroud about the bonds people can make with their Decks.
  • In episode 179, Yugi reminds Jaden of the card he gave to Jaden three years ago. Jaden takes out his Deck and looks at the bottom card of his Deck which is this card. Yugi then tells Jaden that he must regain what he lost as a result from becoming an adult. Jaden then held this card over Yugi's replica Deck as per Yugi's orders. This causes this card and the replica cards to glow. The glowing cards then takes Jaden into the past where he would duel Yugi when he was younger.
    • When Jaden bumps into the Yugi of the past, he shows this card to Yugi to remind him that he gave this card to Jaden three years ago. Yugi does not recognize this event however, but he takes out "Kuriboh" and notes both cards look similar to each other.
  • In episode 180, Jaden draws this card during his Duel against Yugi Muto.
