Duelist Kingdom[]

  • In episode 1, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Kaiba (which is a Duel based off the one from the first series). He activates this card to prevent Kaiba's two "Blue-Eyes White Dragons" from attacking for three turns, but "Judge Man" and Kaiba's third "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" are able to attack since they were summoned after this card was activated. On the second-to-last turn of the Duel, the effect of this card expires.
    • In this episode, monsters summoned after this card was activated were exempt from its effect.
  • In episode 14, Yami Yugi reveals this card to PaniK during their Duel against each other and claims it will be the card he needs to win this Duel. He then sets a card face-down. PaniK, thinking that Yugi Set this card, Normal Summons "Reaper of the Cards" and activates its effect to reveal the set card and destroy it if it is a Spell Card, but the set card turns out to be "Spellbinding Circle" instead. In the next episode, Yugi plays this card after PaniK's "King of Yamimakai" unintentionally attacks and destroys "Reaper of the Cards" due to the light from "Spellbinding Circle" redirect the attack. This reveals the monsters PaniK had hidden via "Castle of Dark Illusions" for three turns. After playing this card, PaniK plays "Chaos Shield" to switch his monsters into Defense Position and raise their DEF. Later, Yugi uses the effect of "Catapult Turtle" to launch "Gaia the Dragon Champion" at the castle, destroying its "flotation ring." Once the effect of this card expired, the castle came crashing down on PaniK's monsters as it was the only thing holding it up. This destroys PaniK's monsters and wins Yugi the Duel.
  • In episode 23, this card is seen in Yami Yugi's hand against Kaiba. Kaiba, during his turn, activates "De-Spell" to destroy this card.

Legendary Heroes[]

  • In episode 43, this card appears on the rack of cards that Yugi, Joey, and Mokuba Kaiba pass by while they are going through a town.
  • In episode 45, Yugi activates this card to keep the "Castle of Dark Illusions" monster army from attacking his friends and the ship after Iru got struck down by a "Whiptail Crow".
  • In episode 53, this card appears on a poster that Yugi and Téa Gardner read when they find a game store selling Duel Monster cards.

Battle City[]

  • In episode 56, this card can be seen in Seeker's hand during his Duel against Yami Yugi. In the next episode, Seeker activates this card in an attempt to stall Yami Yugi until he drew all five pieces of Exodia. Later, Yami activates "Dust Tornado" to destroy this card.
    • In the second-mentioned episode, a second copy of this card can be seen when Yugi searches Seeker's Deck and takes "Red-Eyes Black Dragon" out of the Deck.
  • In episode 85, this card can be seen when Yugi is rebuilding his Deck.
  • In episode 87, Odion uses this card during his Duel against Joey Wheeler. He activates this card to prevent Joey from attacking for three turns. In the next episode, this card's effect expires after Joey passes his turn.

Virtual World[]

  • In episode 108, this card can be seen when Seto Kaiba is building his Virtual World Deck for his Duel against Leichter.
    • This card also appears in a flashback explained by Leichter when he reminds Seto that his birthday gift from Gozaburo Kaiba was where all the mistakes made by Seto himself began.
  • In episode 109, this card appears in a flashback Leichter has when he explains to Seto that his treachery began when Gozaburo gave him a large amount of dollars to test Seto's business skills.
  • In episode 117, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Noah Kaiba. He activates this card to prevent Noah from attacking for three turns. Later, Noah activates "Pyro Clock of Destiny" to end this card's effect one turn early.

Battle City Finals[]

  • In episode 124, this card is shown in a flashback that Joey has when he remembers all the Duelists he faced on his way to the Battle City Finals.

Waking the Dragons[]

  • In episode 158, Rafael uses this card during his Duel against Yami Yugi. He activates this card to prevent Yugi from attacking for three turns. Yugi scoffs at this and responds by Tribute Summoning "Catapult Turtle". Rafael then activates "Limit Tribute" to prevent Yami Yugi from using the effect of "Catapult Turtle" on the turn it was summoned. On Rafael's next turn, he activates "Nightmare Binding" to prevent Yami Yugi from Tributing "Kuribabylon" for the effect of "Catapult Turtle". Over the next few turns, Yami Yugi uses the effect of "Catapult Turtle" to inflict damage to Rafael while carelessly tributing his monsters to do so. After Yugi ends his last turn of the Duel, this card's effect expires.
  • In episode 163, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Yugi. He activates this card to prevent Yugi from attacking for three turns. Yami Yugi hopes to stall for time until he could come up with a strategy to turn the Duel around, but Yugi uses the same strategy Yami used against Rafael (using the effect of "Catapult Turtle" recklessly).
    • This card appears in a flashback that Yami Yugi has when he remembers the strategy he used against Rafael that was not only ruthless but selfish.

Dawn of the Duel[]

  • In episode 200, this card appears within Yami Yugi's mind when Yami Bakura claims to him that his mind is an unsolvable maze and that he pursues games like riddles.
    • This card also appears within Kaiba's briefcase when he opens it up and takes his Duel Disk with him.

Ceremonial Battle[]

  • In episode 221, Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Yami Yugi. He activates this card to prevent Yami from attacking with "The Tricky" for three turns. Later, Yugi's "Stronghold the Moving Fortress" attacks "The Tricky", but Yami activates "Bounce Spell" to apply this card's effect to Yugi instead and stop the attack. After Yugi activates "Turn Jump" to move the turn count forward by 3, this card's effect ends three turns early.

Manga[]

  • In Duel 38, Yami Yugi uses this card against Seto Kaiba (which is a Duel based off the one from the first series). He activates this card to prevent Kaiba's two "Blue-Eyes White Dragonss" from attacking for three turns, but "Judgeman" and Kaiba's third "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" are able to attack since they were summoned after this card was activated. On the second-to-last turn of the Duel, the effect of this card expires.

Yu-Gi-Oh! R[]

  • In chapter 41, Dark Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Yako Tenma. He activates this card when Yako's "The Wicked Avatar" attacks Yugi's "The Tricky". Yako considers how this card is able to stop the attack of a Wicked God since this card's effect applies to the field. On Yako's next turn, he destroys this card with "De-Spell".

Yu-Gi-Oh! GX[]

Anime[]

  • In episode 18, Dimitri uses this card during his Duel against Jaden Yuki while the former was using Yugi's Deck. He activates this card to prevent Jaden from attacking for three turns. After three turns, this card's effect expires.
  • In episode 168, this card can be seen in a display case among others as part of a replica of Yugi Muto's Deck.
  • In episode 179, this card can be seen in a display case among others as part of a replica of Yugi Muto's Deck.

Manga[]

  • In chapter 13, Jaden Yuki uses this card during his Duel against Koyo Hibiki. He activates this card to prevent Koyo from attacking for three turns. After three turns, this card's effect expires.
