This card reduces the targeted monster's ATK by 700 an negates its effect, similar to "Shadow Spell" and "Fiendish Chain" respectively in the TCG/OCG.
Duelist Kingdom
- In episode 10, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Ghost Kaiba. Yugi sets this card underneath "Magical Hats". After Ghost Kaiba's "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" attacks and destroys a second hat, this card activates, paralyzing "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" and decreasing its ATK by 700. After "Dark Magician" attacks and destroys "Blue-Eyes White Dragon", this card is destroyed.
- Unlike later instances, this card did not place a flat hexagram circle on the target.
- In episode 14, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against PaniK. After Yami Yugi claimed he had "Swords of Revealing Light" in his hand, Panik activates the effect of "Reaper of the Cards to target Yami Yugi's set card and destroy it as he assumed it was "Swords of Revealing Light", but it turned out to be this card. Yugi then flipped this card and (due to the effect of "Reaper of the Cards") activates it, immobilizing "Reaper of the Cards" and decreasing its ATK by 700. In the next episode, "King of Yamimakai" attacks "Curse of Dragon", but the light from this card redirects the attack to "Reaper of the Cards" instead, destroying it. With "Reaper of the Cards" removed from the field, this card is destroyed.

- In episode 21, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Tag Duel with Joey Wheeler against the Paradox Brothers. Yugi sets this card underneath "Magical Hats". After "Suijin" attacks the entire maze and the hat hiding this card is attacked, this card activates, immobilizing "Gate Guardian", decreasing its ATK by 700, and preventing it from using its effects. This allows Yugi's "Summoned Skull" to attack and destroy "Suijin". Later Para activates "Remove Trap" to destroy this card.
- In episode 29, Yugi setes this card during his Duel against Mai Valentine, but did not activate it. Yugi intended to activate this card when Mai's "Harpie Lady" attacks "Summoned Skull" (which had 1250 ATK due being affected by "Mirror Wall"), but Mai activates "Harpie's Feather Duster" to destroy this card before she entered her Battle Phase.
- In episode 33, this card appears when Yami Yugi explains to Joey that Duel Monsters is about the balance between Monster, Spell and Trap Cards.
- In episode 34, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Joey. Yugi sets this card underneath "Magical Hats". After Joey's "Black Skull Dragon" attacks and destroys a third hat, this card activates, paralyzing "Black Skull Dragon" and decreasing its ATK by 700. After "Dark Magician" (whose ATK was 2800 due to "Book of Secret Arts") attacks and destroys "Black Skull Dragon", this card is destroyed.
- In episode 35, this card is shown in Yami Yugi's hand during his Duel against Maximillion Pegasus. In the next episode, Pegasus' "Ryu-Ran" attacks Yugi's "Summoned Skull", but Yugi activates this card to stop the attack and decrease the ATK of "Ryu-Ran" by 700. Later "Summoned Skull" attacks "Ryu-Ran", but Pegasus activates "Trap Displacement" to switch the target of this card to "Summoned Skull", stopping its attack and decreasing its ATK by 700. As "Ryu-Ran" is no longer targeted by this card, it regains the ATK this card took from it. After "Ryu-Ran" attacks and destroys "Summoned Skull", this card is destroyed.
Battle City
- In episode 53, this card appears on a poster that Yugi and Téa Gardner read when they find a game store selling Duel Monster cards.
- In episode 65, this card appears in Yami Yugi's hand during his Duel against Strings while the latter was possessed by Marik Ishtar. In the next episode, Strings' "Slifer the Sky Dragon" attacks "Dark Magician Girl", but Yugi activates "Magic Cylinder" and this card to decrease the ATK of "Slifer" by 700 and redirect the attack of "Slifer" back to itself. In response, Strings uses the effect of "Jam Defender" to let "Revival Jam" intercept the attack, destroying it instead. On Strings' End Phase, this card is destroyed since card effects only affect Egyptian God Cards for one turn. As "Slifer" is no longer targeted by this card, it regains the ATK that this card took from it.
- In episode 75, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Joey while the latter was possessed by Marik Ishtar. When Joey's "Alligator's Sword" attacks Yugi's "Kuriboh", Yugi activates this card, immobilizing "Alligator's Sword" and reducing its ATK by 700. In the next episode, this card is destroyed after "Red-Eyes Black Dragon" attacks and destroys "Alligator's Sword".
- In episode 85, this card can be seen when Yugi is rebuilding his Deck.
- In episode 97, two copies of this card appear in Kaiba's thoughts when he learns that most Trap Cards do not work on the Egyptian God Cards and that Spell Cards affect them for only one turn.
Virtual World
- In episode 99, Yami Yugi selects this card for his Virtual World Deck for his Duel against Gansley.
- In episode 103, this card appears in a flashback Téa has when she remembers Yugi talking about "Maha Vailo" looking similar to him and having a great power inside its effect.
- In episode 106, this card can be seen when Duke Devlin, Tristan Taylor, and Serenity Wheeler are building their Virtual World Decks for their Duel against Nezbitt.
- In episode 108, this card can be seen when Seto Kaiba is building his Virtual World Deck for his Duel against Leichter.
Battle City Finals
- In episode 129, this card is seen in a flashback Yugi has when he remembers using "Exchange" to help save Joey from Marik's mind control.
- In episode 132, Yugi sets this card during his Duel against Kaiba. In the next episode, one of Kaiba's "Blue-Eyes White Dragons" attacks Yugi's "Red-Eyes Black Dragon", but Yugi activates this card to stop the attack and decrease "Blue-Eyes White Dragon's" ATK by 700. After "Red-Eyes Black Dragon" attacks and destroys "Blue-Eyes White Dragon", this card is destroyed.
- In the first above-mentioned episode, this card can be seen when Kaiba was thinking about Yugi's two set cards and how he was going to prevent Yugi from using them against his "Blue-Eyes White Dragon".
- In episode 140, this card appears in a flashback that Yami Yugi has when he remembers his Duel against Strings.
Dawn of the Duel
- In episode 214, Aknadin used a spell that resembled this card to trap "Blue-Eyes White Dragon".
Yu-Gi-Oh! GX
- In episode 7, this card was shown in a flashback Syrus Truesdale has when he remembers Zane Truesdale scolding him on using "Power Bond" recklessly. This card was set by a bully who was dueling a younger Syrus. Before Syrus could play "Power Bond", Zane called the duel off and gave a rare card to the bully to ensure that he will not tell anyone about this duel and that he will stop bullying his brother. The bully noticed how rare and powerful the card Zane gave to him was and accepted Zane's offer. After the bully left, Zane revealed to Syrus that the bully set this card. Zane explained to Syrus that if he had played "Power Bond", the bully would have activated this card to immobilize his Fusion Monster and the effect damage from "Power Bond" on the End Phase would have caused Syrus to lose the duel.
- In episode 75, this card appears in a flashback Tyranno Hassleberry when he sees Domino Pier and states to his friends it was where Yugi was forced to Duel Joey when the latter was possessed by Marik.
Scripted Duels
- In the non-canon duel North American WCQ 2011 Special: Yugi vs. Yusei, Yugi activates this card when Yusei's "Junk Warrior" attacks Yugi's "Chimera the Flying Mythical Beast", but Yusei destroys this card with "Double Cyclone".
- In the non-canon duel World Championship 2013 Special: Mai vs. Yugi, Yugi sets this card. Mai attempts to destroy this set card with "Harpie's Feather Duster", but Yugi chains "Emergency Provisions" to send "Spellbinding Circle" to the Graveyard.
- In the non-canon duel North American WCQ 2014 Special: Astral vs. Yugi, Yugi activates this card when Astral's "Number 39: Utopia" attacks Yugi's "Dark Magician", but Astral negates and destroys this card with "Xyz Reflect".
- In the non-canon duel World Championship 2016 Special: Yugi vs. Kaiba, this card is added from his Deck to his hand via the effect of "Kuribandit". Yugi later activates this card when Kaiba's "Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon" attacks "Dark Magician" (whose ATK was 1300 due to the effects of "Kaiser Vorse Raider" and "Shadow Spell"), but Yugi activates this card to stop the attack and decrease the ATK of "Spirit Dragon" by 700. This card is later destroyed after "Spirit Dragon" Tributes itself via its own effect, Special Summoning "Azure-Eyes Silver Dragon" in its place, when Yugi targeted it with "Thousand Knives".
