  • This card was the first card to appear in the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's series.
    • This card was the first to be played in season 1 as well the first Field Spell Card to be activated.
  • Rex Goodwin is shown having a real version of this card in his Deck in episode 62 when he Dueled against Yusei, Jack, and Crow.
  • Although the cards anime lore says you take 2000 damage for activating a non-speed spell spell card, it has been established more than once in the anime that Normal Spell cards cannot be activated in Turbo Duels.

Fortune Cup[]

  • In episode 3, this card is shown being used for the Turbo Duel between Yusei and Trudge. Trudge summons "Gate Blocker" to prevent Yusei from gaining Speed Counters from this card. Although Yusei manages to destroy "Gate Blocker" with a combination of "Speed Warrior" and "Turbo Booster", Trudge activates "Broken Blocker" to summon two more "Gate Blockers". Yusei later gets around the effect of "Gate Blocker" with "Slip Stream". This card remained on the field until Yusei won.
  • In episode 4, this card is shown being used for the Turbo Duel between Jack and Yusei. In the next episode, this card remained on the field until the Turbo Duel ended with no result (If the Duel had continued, Yusei would have won).
    • In the first above-mentioned episode, this card appears in a flashback Jack has when he explains how "Spacegate" works.
  • In episode 6, this card is seen on the sphere monitor that was showing the Turbo Duel between Yusei and Jack.
    • This card is also shown in a flashback Lazar has when he reminds Jack on the last card he played before his previous Duel with Yusei got canceled.
  • In episode 7, this card appears in a flashback Bolt Tanner has when he notes he had nearly forgotten how he felt when he got fired up during an exciting Duel and how it reminds him of his Turbo Duel against Jack. This card was used for the Turbo Duel between Bolt Tanner and Jack Atlas. It remained on the field until Jack won.
  • In episode 8, this card is shown being used for the Turbo Duel between Jack and Hunter Pace. It remained on the field until Jack won.
    • This card is also shown in a flashback Yusei has when Yanagi explains to him that there are five Signers and five Signer Dragons.
  • In episode 9, this card is seen in a flashback Yusei has when he remembers the Crimson Dragon appearing during his Turbo Duel against Jack, a mark appearing on his arm and Yanagi asking if he was a Signer as there are five.
    • This card is also seen in a flashback Jack has when he wonders why the Crimson Dragon won't appear. Jack then theorizes that in order for the Crimson Dragon to appear, he must Duel Yusei again.
  • In episode 11, this card is shown used for the Turbo Duel between Yusei and Trudge. In the next episode, this card remained on the field until Yusei won.
    • In the first above-mentioned episode, this card is shown in a flashback Blister has when he explains that before long a person will only think of himself so that they will hurt and use others to survive just like him. Blister and Aero use this card during their Turbo Duel against two unknown people.
    • In the second above-mentioned episode, this card is shown in a flashback Blister has when he explains to Yusei why he has a negative attitude towards the bonds of friendship. This card was used for the Turbo Duel between Blister and Aero and two unknown people. This card remained on the field until Aero and Blister won the Duel.
  • In episode 17, this card is shown being used for the Turbo Duel between Yusei and Hunter. It remained on the field until Yusei won.
  • In episode 23, this card is shown on the sphere monitor while it was depicting the events that occurred during the two semi-final duels.
    • This card also appears in a flashback Rex Goodwin has when he reminds Jack that he wants to see the clash between "Red Dragon Archfiend" and "Stardust Dragon" and feel the energy that it will release.
  • In episode 25, this card is used for the Turbo Duel between Yusei and Jack. In the next episode, this card remained on the field until Yusei won.

Dark Signers[]

  • In episode 27, this card is shown in a flashback that Luna has when she explains she saw Yusei's Duel against Jack inside the light and saw Satellite being destroyed.
    • This card is shown in a flashback Rex Goodwin has when Carly Carmine notes to him that when the Crimson Dragon appeared, it looked like Yusei's arm was glowing and she asks if it has anything to do with the Crimson Dragon's appearance during the Fortune Cup.
    • This card is also shown in a flashback Yusei has when he wonders about the vision he saw during his Duel against Jack.
    • This card is also shown in a video clip of Yusei and Jack's Turbo Duel which Carly watches in an attempt to find proof that Yusei had a mark on his arm during the Duel.
  • In episode 29, this card appears in a flashback Jack has when he recognizes the mark on Trudge's arm as the same symbol he saw in the vision about Satellite during his Turbo Duel against Yusei.
  • In episode 30, this card is used for the Turbo Duel between Crow Hogan and a Sector Security officer. The officer summons "Gate Blocker" to prevent Crow from gaining Speed Counters from this card's effect. This card remained on the field until Crow won.
    • This card is also shown in a flashback Yusei has when he notes that the vision he saw will be Satellite what will become if the Signers lose to the Dark Signers.
  • In episode 31, this card is used for the Tag Turbo Duel between Yusei and Crow and two Sector Security officers. The officers Special Summon "Gate Blocker 2" to prevent Yusei and Crow from gaining Speed Counters from this card's effect. They then combined this with "Full Throttle" and "Speed Edge" to continuously inflict damage to Yusei and Crow during each Standby Phase. Although Crow tries to weaken "Gate Blocker 2" with the effect of "Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind", the officers counter this with "Defender's Mind" which doubles the DEF of "Gate Blocker 2". After the effect of "Gale the Whirlwind" expires on the End Phase, the DEF of "Gate Blocker 2" becomes 6000. However this didn't stop Yusei from using a combination of "Turbo Warrior", "Blackwing Armor Master" and "Ebon Arrow" to destroy "Gate Blocker 2" and win the Duel. This card remained on the field until Crow and Yusei won.
    • This card is also shown in a flashback Jack has when he becomes angry at his loss to Yusei and the fact that he was really born from Satellite has become known to the public.
    • This card is also shown in a flashback Crow has when he explains why the DEF of "Gate Blocker 2" suddenly became 0.
  • In episode 32, this card is shown in a flashback Yusei has when he confirms to his friends that the vision he saw during his Duel against was Jack was Satellite being destroyed in the future.
    • This card is also shown in a flashback Akiza has when she remembers the vision she and the other Signers are and wonders if something is starting.
  • In episode 33, this card is used for the Turbo Duel between Yusei and Kalin Kessler. It remained on the field for the next two episodes until the Duel ended with no result (if the Duel had continued, Kalin would have won).
  • In episode 36, this card appears in Yusei's nightmare, which shows him right before he nearly lost to Kalin and "Earthbound Immortal Ccapac Apu". Right when the arm of "Ccapac Apu" is about to make contact with Yusei, he wakes up and finds himself in bed.
    • This card also appears in a flashback Yusei has when he notes he remembers Dueling Kalin before he lost control of his Duel Runner.
  • In episode 37, this card is shown in a flashback Kalin has when he states to Roman he wants Yusei to live through a living hell. With the power of the Earthbound Immortals, Kalin learned that Yusei was clearly scared.
    • This card also appears in a flashback Yusei has when he notes even if he and his friends can fix his Duel Runner, Kalin is too powerful and in his current state, he can't defeat him.
    • This card is also shown in two of the four pictures on the computer monitor that a store owner was displaying for Carly when the owner lists down the Signers.
  • In episode 40, this card appears in a flashback Yusei has when he notes to Blister that he can't help Akiza in his current state.
    • This card appears in a flashback Yusei has when Martha declares she knows that he's afraid of Kalin.
  • In episode 42, this card appears in a flashback Yusei has when he remembers when he saw the Crimson Dragon for the first time.
    • This card also appears in a flashback Yusei has when he tells Goodwin that he saw Neo Domino City in a life-or-death situation with his own eyes as the Dark Signers sacrificed many people from Satellite.
    • This card also appears in a series of flashbacks Yusei has when he explains to Goodwin that when he returned to Satellite, Kalin, a former friend that he thought was dead, reappeared before him as a Dark Signer.
    • This card also appears in a series of flashbacks Rex Goodwin has when he states the Signers can't turn away as since they have the same marks, they are the reincarnations of the legendary Signers.

  • In episode 51, this card is used for the Turbo Duel between Crow and Greiger. It remained on the field for the next two episodes until Crow won.
    • In the first above-mentioned episode, this card appears in a flashback Crow has when he notes in his mind that in order to avoid attacks from the Dark Signers' Earthbound Immortals, he has to be free to use his driving techniques in order to avoid crashing and getting critically injured.
  • In episode 54, this card is used for the Turbo Duel between Yusei and Kalin. It remained on the field until the next episode where Yusei won.
    • In the second above-mentioned episode, this card appears in a flashback Yusei has when he notes in his mind that if the fear he is facing now is the same fear he felt, then he will face his fear by facing his Earthbound Immortal instead of running away.
  • In episode 62, this card is used for the Turbo Duel between Yusei, Jack, and Crow and Rex Goodwin. This card remained on the field for the next two episodes until Yusei, Jack, and Crow won.
    • In the first above-mentioned episode, this card appears in a flashback Crow has when he explains to Goodwin that "Blackwing Armor Master" places a Wedge Counter on any monster that it attacks.
    • In the third above-mentioned episode, this card appears in a flashback Yusei has when he explains to Goodwin that Crow activated "Blackwing - Bombardment" for his allies not for himself.

Pre-World Racing Grand Prix[]

  • In episode 65, this card appears in a flashback Trudge has when he notes that his life changed by meeting Yusei.
  • In episode 72, this card appears within a series of flashbacks Akiza Izinski has when she notes that within the speed and wind of a Turbo Duel, Yusei has felt the anger, screams, pain, and joy of his friends and rivals.
  • In episode 79, this card appears in a flashback Crow has when he notes to Jack that by defeating Goodwin they were able to unite New Domino City and Satellite.
  • In episode 87, this card appears in a flashback Kalin has when he remembers the dark deeds he did as a Dark Signer. Kalin wonders why does he remember that as he wants to erase his guilt.
    • This card also appears in a flashback Kalin has when he remembers that he was a Dark Signer in the past and that he battled Yusei.
    • This card also appears in a flashback Yusei has when he claims to Kalin that all was forgiven in their last Duel where "Majestic Star Dragon" destroyed "Earthbound Immortal Ccapac Apu".
  • In episode 91, this card appears in a series of flashbacks Kalin has when he notes all of the things he did wrong in the past and what he had truly learned from all that he had experienced.

World Racing Grand Prix[]

  • In episode 100, this card appears two times in Breo's backstory flashback. It was first shown being used during a Turbo Duel between Breo and an unknown Duelist. "Infernal Dragon" attacks directly and wins Breo the Duel. Later this card was shown being used during a Turbo Duel between Breo and Jean. Jean did something unknown to Breo that made Breo. The reason why Breo lost was because he focused too much on Beatdown strategies. This led to Breo to joining Team Unicorn and changing his Deck to a Mill Deck.
  • In episode 107, this card appears in a flashback Vizor has when he explains to Yusei that Enerdy has been used for good and evil since ancient times.
  • In episode 123, this card appears in a flashback Dragan has when he tells Jack the last Duel they had was rigged by Rex Goodwin and if he had not been told to lose on purpose, he wouldn't have held back and lost. This card played no actual part in the Duel aside from being on the field. Dragan lost the Duel on purpose, so he could get the money for his father's operation and he was ashamed at his loss because he threw away his pride as a Duelist.
  • In episode 124, this card is seen in the Atlas Rising video that Team 5D's watches to find out what Dragan meant by his Turbo Duel with Jack being rigged.
    • This card also appears in a flashback Yusei has when he and Crow deduce that the card where Dragon lost his pride was the set card he didn't activate when "Red Dragon Archfiend" attacked "Garmr of the Nordic Beasts".
    • This card is also seen in a flashback Jack has when he notes that he must defeat the set card Dragan had in their previous Duel to restore his damaged pride.
    • This card is also seen in a flashback Dragan has when he remembers that he had promised himself that he would get back his damaged pride.
