In episode 1 of the Japanese verion, a display featuring data on Hunter Pace stated that his Deck had a strong combo involving "Burning Skull Head" and "Skull Flames".

Hunter Pace used this in his Turbo Duel against Jack Atlas in episode 1. He summons it through unknown reasons. It is then removed from the field through unknown reasons and at an unspecified point, but it was most likely removed from the field before Jack summons "Red Dragon Archfiend".

In episode 8, Hunter Pace used this card in his Turbo Duel against Jack Atlas. He summons it by Tributing two "Burning Skull Heads". He then used the effect of this card to summon another "Burning Skull Head" from his hand. This activates the effect of "Burning Skull Head", inflicting 1000 damage to Jack. Hunter then had the intention of using this card's last effect to add one of the "Burning Skull Heads" in his Graveyard to his hand during his Draw Phase to win the Duel. After Jack attacks and destroys "Burning Skull Head" with "Red Dragon Archfiend", the latter's effect activates, destroying the Gift Fiend Tokens summoned by the effect of "Revival Gift". Jack then activates "Lineage of Destruction" to allow "Red Dragon Archfiend" to attack three more times since three Defense Position monsters were destroyed this turn. "Red Dragon Archfiend" then destroys this card. This card then attacks Hunter directly twice, winning Jack the Duel.

In episode 17, Hunter Pace used this card in his Turbo Duel against Yusei Fudo. He Summons this monster by Tributing "Skull Vase" and "Burning Skull Head". He then used this card to attack and destroy "Speed Warrior". Yusei then uses "Junk Warrior" powered up by its own effect to attack this card, but Hunter uses "Speed Booster" to negate the attack. Hunter later uses "Speed Spell - The End of the Storm" to destroy all monsters out and inflict 300 damage to both players for each of their destroyed monsters. Since only one of Hunter's monsters was destroyed by "The End of the Storm", the latter inflicts 300 damage to Hunter. Since two of Yusei's monsters were destroyed by "The End of the Storm", the latter inflicts 600 damage to Yusei. Hunter then banishes this card to Special Summon "Speed King - Skull Flame".
