Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's

This card is the first Trap Card played in the series, by Yusei Fudo, who uses it as his most frequent Trap Card.

Fortune Cup

  • In episode 1, Yusei Fudo uses this card during his Turbo Duel against Tetsu Trudge. When "Handcuffs Dragon" attacks "Speed Warrior", Yusei activates this card to negate the attack, but Trudge activates "Wiretap" to negate this card's activation and return it to Yusei's Deck face-up. "Handcuffs Dragon" then destroys "Speed Warrior".
  • In episode 12, Yusei uses this card during his Turbo Duel against Tetsu Trudge. When "Search Striker" attacks "Speed Warrior", Yusei activates this card to negate the attack. After that resolves, this card resets itself face-down. Later "Goyo Guardian" attacks "Healing Wave Generator". Yusei tries to activate this card in response, but since "Torapart" was used as a Synchro Material Monster for the Synchro Summon of "Goyo Guardian", Yusei can't activate Trap Cards when "Goyo Guardian" attacks until the end of the Damage Step. "Goyo Guardian" then destroys "Healing Wave Generator". This card remained on the field until the Duel was over.
  • In episode 17, Yusei uses this card during his Turbo Duel against Hunter Pace. When "Speed King Skull Flame" attacks directly, Yusei activates this card to negate the attack. Dark Signers

  • In episode 33, this card is seen in Yusei's hand during his Turbo Duel against Kalin Kessler. Later "Infernity Archfiend" attacks directly. In the next episode, Yusei activates this card to negate the direct attack made by "Infernity Archfiend". After that resolves, this card resets itself face-down. Later "Hundred Eyes Dragon" attacks "Junk Warrior". Yusei tries to activate this card in response, but due to the effect of "Infernity Beast" ("Hundred Eyes Dragon" gains the effects of all DARK monsters in Kalin's Graveyard), Yusei is forbidden from activating any Spells and Trap until the end of the Damage Step. "Hundred Eyes Dragon" then destroys "Junk Warrior". In the following episode, "Earthbound Immortal Ccapac Apu" attacks directly via its own effect. Yusei tries to activate this card in response, however it doesn't work as "Ccapac Apu" is unaffected by Yusei's Spells and Traps. Before the final blow could be dealt, Yusei loses control of his Duel Runner and falls off, ending the Duel with no result.
  • In episode 42, this card appears in a series of flashbacks Yusei has when he explains to Rex Goodwin that when he returned to Satellite, Kalin, a former friend that he thought was dead, reappeared before him as a Dark Signer.

After that resolves, this card resets itself face-down. On Ghost's next turn, "Meklord Emperor Wisel" (whose ATK was 5400 due to Ghost replace "Wisel Attack" with "Wisel Attack 3") attacks "Bicular", but Yusei activates this card to negate the attack. After that resolves, this card resets itself face-down. Ghost then activates "Battle Return" to halve the ATK of "Meklord Emperor Wisel" until the end of the Battle Phase and allow it to attack again. This card remained on the field until the Duel was over.
  • In episode 67, this card is shown flying out of Yusei's Deck while he and his friends were testing out a Duel Runner and it malfunctioned.
  • In episode 68, Bashford uses this card during his Ground Duel against Crow Hogan. When "Blackwing - Bora the Spear" attacks "Maternal Junk", Bashford activates this card to negate the attack. "Centaur Mina" then destroys "Speed Warrior". Later "Chevalier de Fleur" attacks "Junk Warrior", but Yusei activates this card to negate the attack, however Sherry then activates the effect of her "Chevalier de Fleur" to negate this card's effect and destroy it. "Chevalier de Fleur" then destroys "Junk Warrior".

World Racing Grand Prix

  • In episode 101, this card is shown in Yusei's hand during his Turbo Duel against Breo. When Yusei activates the effect of "Tricolor Illusion" to draw a card, it is revealed to be "Junk Synchron". After Yusei defeats Breo, the latter passes the baton to Jean who proceeds in Dueling Yusei.
  • In episode 101, Yusei draws this card during his Turbo Duel against Jean. In the next episode, "Voltic Bicorn" attacks "Dragon Knight Draco-Equiste" (Jean intended for "Voltic Bicorn" to be destroyed by "Dragon Knight Draco-Equiste" which would activate its effect and force Yusei to send the top seven cards of his Deck to the Graveyard which would make Yusei lose due to Deck Out), but Yusei activates this card to negate the attack. After that resolves, this card resets itself face-down. Later Jean activates "Chain Whirlwind" to destroy this card and "Summon Tax". The effect of "Speed Spell - Tyrant Force" then activates, inflicting 300 damage to Yusei.

Yusei then discards "Arbitrator" via its own effect to end the Battle Phase.
  • In episode 116, Yusei uses this card during his Concentration Duel against Clark Smith. On Yusei's second turn, he declares he is activating a Spell Card, but he flips over this card, forcing him to flip it face-down again. Yusei planned to activate this card to block Clark's next attack. After that's done, Yusei plans to equip "Max Warrior" with "Prevention Star" which would allow Yusei to activate "Release Restraint Wave" and destroy all of Clark's Spell and Trap Cards. Clark then activates "Fair Exchange" to send three Decago Knights" from his Deck to the Graveyard and force Yusei to send cards from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard equal to the combined Levels of the sent monsters. Since the combined Levels of the "Decago Knights" is thirty, Yusei is forced to send the top thirty cards of his Deck to the Graveyard, one of which was this card. Clark's move had also left Yusei with only nine cards remaining in his Deck.
