"Satellite Cannon" first appeared as a Video Game Only card in Dark Duel Stories. It was featured as a level 5, Normal, Thunder Attribute, Machine-Type Monster with 2000 ATK and 1500 DEF.
In episode 108, Leichter uses this card during his Duel against Seto Kaiba. He Tribute Summons this card by Tributing his set "Fire Princess". In the next episode, this card gained 1000 ATK on Leichter's End Phase. On Leichter's next turn, this card attacks and destroys Kaiba's set "The Wicked Worm Beast". At the end of the Damage Step, this card's ATK decreases back to 0. On Leichter's End Phase. This card gained 1000 ATK. On Leichter's next turn, this card attacks Kaiba's "Twin-Headed Behemoth". Due to this card's effect, it is not destroyed, so only "Twin-Headed Behemoth" is destroyed. At the end of the Damage Step, this card's ATK decreased back to 0. On Leichter's End Phase this card gained 1000 ATK. Later Kaiba uses "Possessed Dark Soul" to attack Leichter's set monster. The set monster is then revealed to be "Dreamsprite". Leichter then activates the effect of "Dreamsprite" to redirect the attack to this card, resulting in the attack doing nothing to this card due to its effects. On Leichter's next End Phase, this card gains 1000 more ATK. Kaiba then summons "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" and uses it to attack and destroy this card as this card's ATK is treated as 0 during the opponent's turn. Because of that, Leichter lost the remainder of his Life Points and Kaiba won the duel.
In episode 84, Prince Ojin uses this card during his duel against Sartorius. He Normal Summons this card with no Tributes thanks to "Cost Down". He then activates "Charge" to increase this card's ATK by 2000 until the End Phase. Ojin then activates "Mischief of the Time Goddess" to go to the Battle Phase of his next turn. He then activates "Limiter Removal" to double this card's ATK until the End Phase. This card then attacks directly, but Sartorius discards "Arcana Force XIV - Temperance" to nullify the Battle Damage he would take. Ojin then Normal Summons "Satellite Base". Sartorius, in response, activates the effect of "Intervention of Fate" to discard the latter and activate "Ace of Sword" from his hand. Sartorius then targets this card for the effect of "Ace of Sword" while "Ace of Sword" begins to rotate". "Ace of Sword" then lands upright, so Ojin takes damage equal to this card's ATK, which wins Sartorius the duel.
In episode 99, Ojin uses this card during his duel against Jaden Yuki. He discards this card in order to activate "Trap Booster". He then uses "Call of the Haunted" to revive this card. Ojin then activates "Inferno Reckless Summon" to Special Summon two more copies. He then activates "Charge" to give all the copies 2000 ATK until the End Phase. Ojin then uses one copy to attack and destroy "Elemental HERO Sparkman". Another copy then attacks directly. The third copy then attacks directly, but Jaden activates "Hero Spirit" to negate the attack. After damage calculation, the three copies' ATK decreased to 0. On Ojin's End Phase, all three copies gained 1000 ATK. Later Jaden uses "Elemental HERO Flame Wingman" to attack one copy. As "Flame Wingman" wasn't Level 8 or higher, the attacked copy is not destroyed, but Ojin still takes Battle Damage. Ojin then activates "Union Attack" to increase the ATK of one copy by the ATK of the other two copies at the cost of preventing other monsters from attacking and Jaden taking no Battle Damage from the attack. The powered-up copy then attacks and destroys "Flame Wingman". After damage calculation, the ATK of the powered-up copy decreases back to 0. On Ojin's End Phase, all three copies gained 1000 ATK. Later Jaden uses "Elemental HERO Shining Flare Wingman" to attack and destroy the weakest copy. As the original ATK of this card was 0, Ojin took no damage from the effect of "Shining Flare Wingman". Ojin then activates "Debris Station" to send the remaining two copies to the Graveyard and Fusion Summon "Satellite Laser Balsam".
