In the original manga, it was a Level 5 monster. In the manga, it first appeared during the Duel between Seto Kaiba and Yami Yugi at Death-T. After Flip Summoning it, Kaiba tripled its ATK with "Dark Energy" and used it to destroy Yugi's "Winged Dragon, Guardian of the Fortress 1", "Sangan" and several other monsters. It was eventually destroyed by Yugi's "Gaia The Fierce Knight".

This card first appeared during the Duel between Seto Kaiba and Yami Yugi at Death-T. After Flip Summoning it, Kaiba tripled its ATK with "Dark Energy" and used it to destroy Yugi's "Winged Dragon, Guardian of the Fortress 1", "Sangan" and several other monsters. It was eventually destroyed by Yugi's "Gaia The Fierce Knight".

In episode 1, Seto Kaiba uses this card during his Duel against Yami Yugi. After summoning this card, Kaiba activates "Negative Energy Generator" to triple this card's ATK. This card then attacks and destroys "Winged Dragon, Guardian of the Fortress 1". On Kaiba's next turn, this card attacks and destroys "Sangan". On Kaiba's turn after that, this card attacks and destroys "Battle Steer". On Kaiba's next turn, this card attacks and destroys "Torike". Yami Yugi's "Gaia The Fierce Knight" then attacks and destroys this card.

In episode 8, this card is shown in a flashback Mokuba Kaiba has when his brother is shown throwing his cards down on his desk in frustration.

In episode 22, this card is shown in Seto Kaiba's hand during his Duel against Yami Yugi. In the next episode, Kaiba summons this card in Defense Position. "Gaia The Fierce Knight" then attacks and destroys this card, but Kaiba then activates "Crush Card Virus", destroying every monster with 1500 or more ATK in Yugi's hand, deck and field.

In episode 26, Seto Kaiba uses this card during his Duel against Maximillion Pegasus. He summons this card in Attack Position and sets "Crush Card Virus". He was planning to activate "Crush Card Virus" after Pegasus attacks and destroys this card with a stronger monster which would allow Kaiba to use "Crush Card Virus" to destroy every monster in Pegasus' Deck that had 1500 or more ATK, but because Pegasus had the Millennium Eye, he was aware of the strategy. On Pegasus's turn, he activates "Negative Energy", which doubles this card's ATK and destroys "Crush Card Virus". Pegasus then Flip Summons "Dark Rabbit" whose ATK is doubled due to "Negative Energy". "Dark Rabbit" then attacks and destroys this card. In the next episode, Kaiba activates "Monster Reborn" to revive this card as that was the only move he could do due to "Crush Card Virus" destroying almost every card in his Deck. "Bickuribox" then attacks and destroys this card. Kaiba then lost the Duel by default as he had no more cards to play.

In episode 70, this card was shown in Seto Kaiba's hand during his tag Duel with Yami Yugi against Lumis and Umbra. In the next episode, Kaiba was forced to discard this card from his hand due to Yugi's "Card Destruction".

In episode 74, this card appeared in a flashback Seto Kaiba has when Yami Yugi reminds him about experiencing Pegasus' Millennium Eye back in Duelist Kingdom.

In episode 109, this card appears in a flashback Leichter has when he explains to Seto Kaiba that his treachery began when Gozaburo Kaiba gave him a large amount of dollars to test Seto's business skills.

In episode 131, this card is seen in a series of flashbacks Seto Kaiba has when Kaiba notes to himself that he always feels excited when he Duels against Yami Yugi.

During the Millennium World arc, the monster appeared inside the mind of a man interrogated with the Millennium Key by Priest Seto. According to Seto, this is evidence of the man's evil mind.

In episode 223, this card appears in a flashback that Téa Gardner has when she notes that "Swift Gaia the Fierce Knight" and "Summoned Skull" are monsters that have fought alongside Yugi in his previous Duels.

Seto Kaiba uses this card during his Duel against a virtual copy of Yami Yugi. Kaiba sends this card from his Deck to the Graveyard due to the effect of "Dark Sacrifice", and thus, negating Yami Yugi's "Thousand Knives".

The attack of this monster is named Dark Light (「ダーク・グライド」). It shows Saggi throwing a ball of dark energy.

In some of the dubs this card was shown on the field during Weevil's Duel with Yugi during the Duelist Kingdom arc as a replacement for "Kamakiriman". This is most likely a mix-up due to the two cards being similar-looking in their bright colors.
