• In Episode 23 Akiza Izinski Tributed "Dark Verger" to Summon this card in her Duel with Yusei Fudo. Later, Akiza used its effect to attack "Turret Warrior" and all 4 of Yusei's "Ivy Tokens", dropping him to 1500 Life Points in only one turn.

• In episode 24 Akiza used "Ivy Shackle" to turn Yusei's "Shield Warrior" to a Plant-Type, so "Rose Tentacles" could attack Yusei directly after destroying "Shield Warrior".
