• Its anime film effect may be reconstructed as the following:

Trap Card/Continuous Trap Card
Activate only when Obelisk the Tormentor, Slifer the Sky Dragon and The Winged Dragon of Ra face-up on your opponent's side of the field. Select the Monster Card Zone on your opponent's side of the field that is currently used by those monsters. Negate the effect of the monsters in the selected Monster Card Zone and remove them from play. As long as this card remains face-up on the field, you and your opponent cannot Special Summon those monsters. They remain removed from play even after this card removed from your side of the field. If this face-up card is removed from your side of the field, destroy "Andro Sphinx" and "Sphinx Teleia" on your side of the field and remove them from play.

Yu-Gi-Oh! The Movie: Pyramid of Light

  • Seto Kaiba obtains this card and "Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon" from Pegasus after he defeats Pegasus. Despite Pegasus protesting that he only made one card ("Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon") to counter the Egyptian God Cards, Kaiba doesn't believe him and walks away.
  • Kaiba uses this card during his Duel against Yami Yugi. He activates this card to banish all three Egyptian God cards from the field. Later Anubis urges Kaiba to finish Yami Yugi off, however Kaiba wanted a perfect victory, so he tried to use the Shining Nova effect of "Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon" to destroy this card, but this card was protected by Anubis as he would not allow this card to be destroyed. Anubis then took over the duel and tossed Kaiba aside. Anubis then uses this card's presence to Special Summon "Andro Sphinx" and "Sphinx Teleia" from his hand. Later Yugi Muto exploits a weak point in this card's power. Yami Yugi notices this and decides to use this chance to destroy this card. Yami Yugi then activates "Double Spell" to activate Kaiba's "Monster Reborn" from the Graveyard and revive "Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon" under his control. Yami Yugi then activates the Shining Nova effect of "Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon" to destroy this card. This time the attempt was successful. After this card was destroyed, "Andro Sphinx" and "Sphinx Teleia" were both destroyed as well. This however allows Anubis to Special Summon "Theinen the Great Sphinx".
  • "Pyramid of Light" removed from play all "Egyptian God Cards" on the field when activated. Although it had a different lore on the card, it still had the TCG/OCG real life effect, because when it was destroyed by "Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon", "Andro Sphinx" and "Sphinx Teleia" were destroyed as well.
