• This card is associated with Leo in Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's. In this version, it's effect is changed, it instead randomly adds a card to the controller's hand (which the Duel Disk randomly selects). Knowing Luna had a dream about five dragons, each corresponding to a Signer, Leo asked her if "Power Tool Dragon" was in the dream, in the hopes that he may be a Signer. "Power Tool Dragon" beared some resemblance to one of the dragons from the dream, but since it was robotic and the battle was believed to take place centuries ago, Luna was certain it wasn't it. Regardless she told Leo it might have been for the sake of cheering him up. Hearing this, Leo convinced himself that he is the fifth Signer and anointed himself in charge of protecting Luna.

• This is seen alongside Lua (Leo) in the Japanese Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's ending theme CROSS GAME.

• Its summoning speech in the Japanese version is "Docking strength with courage to protect world peace! Synchro Summon! Envoy of love and justice, Power Tool Dragon!".

• This was the Featured Card in Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's episode 36 and in episode 70.

• Its attack name in the Japanese anime is "Crafty Break" and its effect name is "Power Search".

• In episode 36, Leo Summonned this against Divine and used its effect to add "Double Tool C&D" to his hand. He equipped "Double Tool C&D" to "Power Tool Dragon" and used to attack "Krebons". Divine tried using "Krebons'" effect to negate the attack, but was unable, due to "Double Tool C&D's" effect.

• In episode 48, Leo Summoned "Power Tool Dragon" against Devack. He used its effect to get "Break Draw" and equipped it with that. "Power Tool Dragon" attacked and destroyed "Magician's Ape".

• In episode 49, Devack attacked this with "Zeman the Ape King", powered with "Closed Forest". Leo sent "Break Draw" to the Graveyard to negate "Power Tool Dragon's" destruction. On Leo's turn, he used "Power Tool Dragon's" effect to get "Megamorph", equipped it to "Power Tool Dragon". It had no effect as both players' Life Points were equal. Leo switched it to Defense Position. On Devack's turn, he attacked it with Zeman, while "Roaring Earth" was active, weakening "Power Tool Dragon" and inflicting Piercing damage, although Leo prevented its destruction by destroying "Megamorph".

• In episode 50, Leo and Luna made uses of "Power Tool Dragon" many times, while dueling Devack.

• In episode 78 Leo summons Power Tool Dragon to combat Machine Emperor Skiel Infinity and also to try and get "Ancient Fairy Dragon" back to Luna.
