Pre-World Duel Carnival[]

  • In episode 24, Astral uses this card during his Duel against Kite Tenjo. He Xyz Summons this card via Chaos Xyz Evolution by overlaying "Number 39: Utopia" with itself. Astral then activates this card's effect to detach an Overlay Unit and increase this card's ATK by 500 as well as decrease the ATK of "Photon Circle" by 1000. This card attacks and destroys "Photon Circle", but due to the latter's effect, the battle damage is halved. On Astral's End Phase, this card's effect expires. Later "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" (whose ATK was 4000 through its own effect) attacks this card, but Astral activates "Clean Barrier - Clear Force" to make the ATK of "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" become its original ATK and prevent any ATK-changing effects from activating during the Battle Phase. While this card was not destroyed due to "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" not being a "Number", Astral still took damage. At the end of the Battle Phase, the effect of "Clear Barrier - Clear Force" expires. After Yuma and Astral perform a ZEXAL Morph and draw "Zexal Weapon - Unicorn Spear", Yuma activates the effect of "Unicorn Spear" to equip itself to this card and increase its ATK by 1900. This card then attacks "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon". Due to the effect of "Unicorn Spear", the effects of "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" are negated during the Battle Phase only, which returns its ATK to its original value and prevents Kite from using the first effect of "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" to avoid the attack. Kite then activates "Photon Shock" to make Yuma take the same amount of Battle Damage he takes. This card then destroys "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon", ending the Duel in a draw.
  • In episode 25, this card appears in a flashback Yuma has when he remembers that he Dueled Fortuno and attained the power of this card.
    • This card also appears in the recap for the previous episode.

Yuma then activates "Half Unbreak" to prevent this card's destruction and halve the battle damage he takes. After Yuma and Astral perform a ZEXAL Morph and draw "Zexal Weapon - Phoenix Bow", Yuma activates the first effect of "Phoenix Bow" to equip it to this card, increasing its ATK by 1100. This card then attacks "Chronomaly Atlandis". Yuma then activates the second effect of "Phoenix Bow" to destroy "Chronomaly Atlandis", reduce the battle damage inflicted to 0 and inflict 1000 damage to Trey, winning Yuma the Duel.
    • This card also appears in a series of flashbacks Yuma has when he remembers all his moments with Astral which is enough for his will to strengthen and prevent himself from being engulfed by the power of Trey's crest (which Trey transfered to him in order to try to revive Astral).
