  • In episode 3, Mr. Kay uses this card during his Duel against Yuma Tsukumo. He Xyz Summons this card by overlaying "Crashbug X", "Crashbug Y" and "Crashbug Z". Mr. Kay then activates this card's effect to detach "Crashbug Y" and take control of Yuma's "Gogogo Golem". In the next episode, control of "Gogogo" Golem" returns to Yuma during the End Phase. On Mr. Kay's next turn, he activates this card's effect to take control of "Gogogo Golem" again. On Mr. Kay's next turn, he activates this card's effect to take control of "Achacha Archer". After the latter attacks directly via "Infected Mail" and Yuma activates the effect of "Number 39: Utopia" to negate the attack, Mr. Kay activates "Bug Switch" to switch this card to Attack Position and Special Summon "Super Crashbug". Due to the effect of "Super Crashbug", the ATK and DEF of all monsters on the field are switched. This card then attacks "Utopia", but Yuma activates the effect of "Utopia" to negate the attack. After "Super Crashbug" is destroyed by the effect of "Overconfidence", the ATK and DEF of all monsters on the field return to the original value. "Number 17: Leviathan Dragon" then attacks and destroys this card. After Yuma wins the Duel, Astral absorbs this card, freeing Mr. Kay from this card's influence.
    • In the second above-mentioned episode, this card appears in a flashback Astral has when he explains to Yuma he figured out Mr. Kay was going to regain Life Points though his set card because he was seeking perfection by winning the Duel at full Life Points.
  • In episode 6, during Yuma's Duel against Flip Turner, this card and "Leviathan Dragon" appear in Yuma's mind when he notes they are the only remaining "Numbers" in his possession and are his only chance of getting Utopia back since "Numbers" can only be destroy in battle by other "Numbers".
  • In episode 23, this card is amongst the "Numbers" shown in the Emperor's Key when Kite finds Astral.
  • In episode 25, this card appears in a flashback Astral has when he tells Yuma he was bit shaken as well due to Kite nearly succeeding in defeating him and taking his "Numbers". Astral also states he couldn't believe he actually managed to enter the Emperor's Key.
    • This card also appears in a flashback Kite has when he notes that the tower under construction is where the third "Number" appeared.
  • In episode 37, this card appears in a series of flashbacks Astral has when he notes the "Numbers" are pieces of his memories and he wonders what he really is.
  • In episode 67, Dr. Faker uses Sphere Field to absorb this card along with every "Number" Yuma and Vetrix had in their possession after Yuma defeats Vetrix.
  • In episode 76, Yuma uses this card during his Duel against Devon Knox while the latter was possessed by the Barians. He Xyz Summons this card by overlaying "Rai Rider", "Zubaba Knight" and "Mimimic". After Devon Xyz Summons "Chaos Xyz Coach Lord Ultimatrainer" via "Rank-Up-Magic Barian's Force", the latter detaches all of this card's Overlay Units and attaches them to "Coach Lord Ultimatrainer". "Coach Lord Ultimatrainer" then attacks and destroys this card as "Rank-Up-Magic Barian's Force" allows "Coach Lord Ultimatrainer" to negate monster effects that prevents destruction by battle.
  • In episode 82, this card is amongst the "Numbers" shown with Astral in the Emperor's Key when Astral observes the "Numbers" he and Yuma currently have and which "Numbers" they still need to find.
  • In episode 112, this card is amongst the "Numbers" that appear in spirit with Yuma as he recalls his time with Astral.
  • This card's effect name in the Japanese version is "Bug Virus".
