- In episode 34, Trey plays this card against Shark. He overlays his "Chronomaly Colossal Head" and "Chronomaly Golden Jet" to Xyz Summon this card, having used "Orichalcum Chain" to reduce the number of Overlay Units it required by 1. It attacks and destroys Shark's "Black Ray Lancer", detaching an Overlay Unit to Special Summon the destroyed "Black Ray Lancer" from the Graveyard and attack it again with its ATK reduced by 1000. Shark later destroys "Orichalcum Chain" via the effect "Skull Kraken" to take control of this card. Shark then attacks Trey directly. Trey attempts to take control of "Skull Kraken" via "Antikythira Gear", but Shark activates "Extreme Pressure Power" to destroy "Skull Kraken" and draw a card, making the direct attack successful. Trey then attacks this card with "Chronomaly Crystal Chrononaut", but Shark uses "Plate Salvage", negating the effect of "Sunken Kingdom", thus reducing this card's ATK and the damage from the effect of "Chrononaut" He then attacks "Crystal Chrononaut" with this card", but Trey activates the effect of "Colossal Head" from the Graveyard, switching it to Defense Position. Shark then activates the effect of this card, detaching its last Overlay Unit to revive "Crystal Chrononaut", with its ATK reduced by 1000 and attacks it again. Trey activates "Chronomaly Ley Line Power" to switch their ATK, but Shark activates "Sea King's Verdict" to negate and destroy the trap, allowing "Shark Drake" to freely attack and destroy "Crystal Chrononaut", winning Shark the Duel.

- In episode 57, Shark plays this card against Quattro. He overlays "Hammer Shark" and "Tripod Fish" to Xyz Summon it after using the effect of the latter card to increase its Level to 4 and "Bubble Bringer" to treat it as two Overlay Units. It attacks and destroys "Number 15: Gimmick Puppet Giant Grinder". Shark detaches an Overlay Unit to attack it again, but Quattro activates the effect of "Gimmick Puppet Twilight Joker", banishing "Giant Grinder" before it be revived. Quattro then Xyz Summons "Number 40: Gimmick Puppet of Strings" and equips it with "String of Destiny", sending "Gimmick Puppet Dreary Doll" from his deck to the Graveyard, allowing him to attack this card eight times. Quattro then activates the effect of "Gimmick Puppet of Strings", detaching an Overlay Unit to place a String Counter on this card. In the next episode, Shark banishes this card via "Different Dimension Deepsea Trench". He later Tributes "Deep Sweeper" via its own effect to destroy "Different Dimension Deepsea Trench", allowing this card to return to the field. He then performs a Chaos Xyz Evolution to Xyz Summon "Chaos Number 32: Shark Drake Veiss".
- In episode 61, Shark plays this card against Yuma. He overlays "Shocktopus", "Spear Shark" and "Double Shark" to Xyz Summon it. In the next episode, this card attacks and destroys "Gogogo Ghost" with this card. He then detaches an Overlay Unit to revive "Gogogo Ghost" and decrease its ATK by 1000, forcing it to battle again. However due to the effect of "Gogogo Ghost", it revived "Gogogo Golem" and switched to Defense Position. Yuma later attacks this card with "Gogogo Golem" powered up via "Golden Form". Shark then performs Chaos Xyz Evolution, overlaying this card with it's remaining overlay units to Xyz Summon "Shark Drake Veiss". This card is later banished from the Graveyard via the effect of "Shark Drake Veiss".
- In episode 68, this card is amongst the "Numbers" floating through the Sphere Field. Astral gives it and "Utopia" to Yuma before ejecting him from the Sphere Field. Yuma returns this card to Shark.
- In episode 69, Shark plays this card while teaming with Yuma and Kite Tenjo against Dr. Faker. He overlays "Hammer Shark" and "Xyz Remora" to Xyz Summon it, having used the effect of the latter card to treat it as two Overlay Units. It attacks "Number 53: Heart-eartH" with this card, inflicting 2800 damage to Dr. Faker. However, "Heart-eartH" reflects half of the damage to Shark. Kite then uses this card to attack "Heart-eartH" again, activating "Photon Prevent", to negate the effect damage he would have sustained via the other card's effect. In the next episode, Shark performs Chaos Xyz Evolution on this card to Xyz Summon "Shark Drake Veiss".
- In episode 75, Shark plays this card against Fender's thugs.
- In episode 78, Shark plays this card against Art Stanley. He overlays "Hammer Shark", "Spear Shark" and "Double Shark" to Xyz Summon it. It attacks "Comics Hero King Arthur", but the effect of "Comic Field" prevents its destruction by battle. "King Arthur" attacks this card on Art's next turn after its own effect and that of "Miracle Sword" increased its ATK. It is not destroyed by battle since "King Arthur" is not a "Number" monster. This card's Overlay Units are taken by "CXyz Comics Hero Legend Arthur" via the effect of "Rank-Up-Magic Barian's Force". "Legend Arthur" destroys this card, as "Barian's Force" negated the effect that would prevent its destruction by battle. Art attempts to banish this card with the effect of "Legend Arthur", but Shark plays "Torrential Reborn" to revive this card. He performs a Chaos Xyz Evolution, bringing out "Shark Drake Veiss".
- In episode 82, this card appears in a flashback to episode 78.
- In episode 95, Shark plays this card against Dumon. He overlays "Silent Angler" and "Double-Fin Shark" to Xyz Summon it, with the effect of the latter card letting it be treated as two Overlay Units. This card is still on the field in the next episode, but in episode 97, its effects are negated and its ATK halved by "Number 102: Star Seraph Sentry". "Sentry" attacks and destroys this card, but Shark revives it with "Shark Splash" and performs a Chaos Xyz Evolution to Summon "Shark Drake Veiss".

- In episode 145, Astral plays this card against Yuma. He attaches it and "Number 62: Galaxy-Eyes Prime Photon Dragon" to "Number 39: Utopia Roots" as Overlay Units via the effect of "Number Fortification". He detaches it with "Overlay Accel" to "Utopia Roots" another attack. In the next episode, this card appears in the montage of "Numbers" in the Summoning sequence of "Number 99: Utopic Dragon" and later appears when Yuma's "Memories of Courage" powers up "Number F0: Utopic Future".

- In chapter 4 of Yu-Gi-Oh! D Team ZEXAL, Shark plays this card against Yuma Tsukumo. He overlays his "Shark Stickers", "Hammer Shark" and "Shocktopus" to Xyz Summon it after having changed the Level of "Shark Stickers" to 4 via "Star Changer". It attacks Yuma's "Gagaga Gardna", but Yuma discards a card to prevent its destruction by battle. Next turn, Shark negates the effects of "Gagaga Gardna" with "Forbidden Chalice", allowing this card to attack and destroy it. Shark activates this card's effect, detaching an Overlay Unit to Special Summon "Gagaga Gardna' with its ATK reduced by 1000 and letting "Shark Drake" attack it again. Yuma activates "Impenetrable Attack" to prevent the battle damage. Next turn, this card attacks and destroys "Achaacha Archer" and Shark detaches an Overlay Unit to revive it. This card attacks and destroys it again, winning Shark the Duel.
- In chapter 13, Shark plays this card against Yuma. He overlays "Xyz Remora", "Shocktopus" and "Unshaven Angler" to Xyz Summon it. This card attacks Yuma directly. Yuma destroys this card with the effect of "Number C39: Utopia Ray V", inflicting its ATK as damage to Shark.
