  • In Yu-Gi-Oh! Millennium World Duel 49: This card was one of the cards Yugi discarded via the effect of Dark Bakura's "All Killing Death Card" during their Duel.
  • In Yu-Gi-Oh! Millennium World Duel 64: During Yugi's Duel against Atem, Yugi seals this card in "Gold Sarcophagus". In the next chapter, Atem activates this card, reviving "Slifer the Sky Dragon", but Yugi reveals that he had sealed this card in "Gold Sarcophagus", negating this card's effect.

  • In episode 34, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Joey Wheeler. Yami Yugi activates this card to Special Summon Joey's "Black Skull Dragon" under his control.
    • In episode 33, this card appears when Yami Yugi explains to Joey that Duel Monsters is about the balance between Monster, Spell and Trap Cards.

Battle City[]

  • In episode 53, this card appears on a poster that Yami Yugi and Téa Gardner read when they find a game store that was selling Duel Monster cards.
  • In episode 61, Yami Yugi and Arkana both use this card during their Duel against each another. Yami Yugi activates his copy to Special Summon "Dark Magician" from his Graveyard and Arkana activates his copy Special Summon his own variation of "Dark Magician" from his Graveyard after both "Dark Magicians" were destroyed in a Double KO.
  • In episode 70, Seto Kaiba uses this card during his Tag Duel with Yami Yugi against Lumis and Umbra. Kaiba has this card in his hand. In the next episode, Kaiba activates this card to Special Summon "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" from his Graveyard.
  • In episode 83, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Yami Bakura. Yami Yugi activates this card to Special Summon Yami Bakura's "Dark Necrofear" under his control, cancelling out Yami Bakura's "Dark Sanctuary" since "Dark Necrofear" is no longer in Yami Bakura's Graveyard.
  • In episode 85, this card can be seen when Yugi Muto is rebuilding his Deck.
  • In episode 96, Yami Bakura has this card during his Duel against Yami Marik. Yami Bakura activates "Exchange" to take "The Winged Dragon of Ra" from Yami Marik while Yami Marik takes this card from Yami Bakura. In the next episode, Yami Marik activates this card to Special Summon "The Winged Dragon of Ra" from Yami Bakura's Graveyard.
    • In the second above-mentioned episode, this card appears in Kaiba's thoughts when he learns that most Trap Cards don't work on the Egyptian God Cards and that Spell Cards can be affective for only one turn.

  • In episode 99, this card appears when Yami Yugi is building his Deck for his Duel against Gansley.
  • In episode 102, this card can be seen when Téa Gardner is building her Deck for her Duel against Crump.
    • In episode 103, this card appears in two flashbacks. The first flashback Téa has is when she remembers Yugi Muto talking about "Maha Vailo". This card also seen in a second flashback Téa has when she remembers selecting "Sage's Stone" while building her Deck.
  • In episode 108, this card can be seen when Seto Kaiba is building his Deck for his Duel against Leichter.
    • In episode 109, this card appears in a flashback Leichter has when he explains to Seto that his treachery began when Seto was given a large amount of dollars to test his business skills.
  • In episode 118, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Noah Kaiba (which was a continuation of the latter's Duel with Seto Kaiba). Yami Yugi activates this card to Special Summon Seto's "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" under his control.

Battle City Finals[]

  • In episode 127, Yami Marik uses this card during his Duel against Joey Wheeler. Yami Marik activates this card to Special Summon "The Winged Dragon of Ra" from his Graveyard.
  • In episode 132, Yami Yugi and Seto Kaiba both use this card during their Duel against each other. Yami Yugi uses his copy to Special Summon "Dark Magician" from his Graveyard. "Dark Magician" later attacks "Lord of Dragons" but Kaiba activates "Magical Trick Mirror" to activate Yami Yugi's copy in order for Kaiba to Special Summon "Obelisk the Tormentor" from his Graveyard as interception for one turn. Two episodes later, Kaiba activates his copy to Special Summon "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" from his Graveyard then activates "Polymerization" to fuse his three copies of "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" together in order to Fusion Summon "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon". Yami Yugi then activates "Double Spell" to activate both of Kaiba's Spell Cards; Yami Yugi uses Kaiba's copy to Special Summon "Buster Blader" which is then fused with "Dark Magician" via "Polymerization" in order to Fusion Summon "Dark Paladin".
  • In episode 136, Joey Wheeler and Seto Kaiba both use this card during their Duel against each other. Joey uses his copy to Special Summon Kaiba's "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" (which Joey uses Kaiba's "Enemy Controller" (via "Graverobber") to destroy) under his control. Kaiba later attacks "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" with Joey's "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" which destroys both Monsters in a Double KO to which Kaiba activates his copy to Special Summon one of two copies of "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" that was destroyed.
  • In episode 138, Yami Yugi and Yami Marik both use this card during their Duel against each other. Yami Marik activates "Left Arm Offering" to add his copy from Deck to his hand. Yami Yugi then activates "Exchange" to take this card from Yami Marik while Yami Marik takes "De-Fusion" from Yami Yugi. Yami Yugi then activates Yami Marik's copy to Special Summon "Queen's Knight" from his Graveyard. "Slifer the Sky Dragon" later attacks Yami Marik directly, but Yami Marik activates "Dark Spell Regeneration" to activate his copy from Yami Yugi's Graveyard and Special Summon "The Winged Dragon of Ra" as "Egyptian God Phoenix". In the next episode, Yami Marik activates "Zombie's Jewel" to add his copy from Yami Yugi's Graveyard to his hand and then activates this card to Special Summon "The Winged Dragon of Ra" again. In the following episode, Yami Marik activates "Mining for Magical Stones" to add his copy from his Graveyard to his hand. In the next episode, Yami Marik activates his copy to Special Summon "The Winged Dragon of Ra" again. "Egyptian God Phoenix" then attempts to destroy "Obelisk the Tormentor" but Yami Yugi activates his own copy to Special Summon "Slifer the Sky Dragon" as interception, destroying "Slifer the Sky Dragon" and saving "Obelisk the Tormentor".
    • In the first above-mentioned episode, this card appears in a flashback Joey has when he remembers his Duel with Yami Marik and when he's explaining to Tristan Taylor, Téa Gardner and Duke Devlin that Yami Marik just needs this card in order to bring out the many devastating effects of "The Winged Dragon of Ra".

Waking the Dragons[]

  • In episode 150, Seto Kaiba uses this card during his Duel against Alister. Kaiba activates this card to Special Summon "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" from his Graveyard.
  • In episode 163, Yugi Muto and Yami Yugi both are seen with seen this card during their Duel against each other. Yami Yugi is forced to discard his copy with his hand when Yugi activates "Card Destruction". Yugi then activates his copy to Special Summon "Dark Magician Girl" from the Graveyard.
  • In episode 167, Seto Kaiba uses this card during his Duel against Alister. Kaiba activates this card to Special Summon "Y-Dragon Head" from his Graveyard.
  • In episode 171, Joey Wheeler and Valon both use this card during their Duel against each other. Joey activates his copy to Special Summon "Rocket Warrior" from his Graveyard. Valon later activates his copy to Special Summon "Buster Pyle" for his Graveyard to which Joey activates "Scapegoat" to summon four Sheep Tokens in response but "Lord of the Red" then activates which destroys all other Monster Cards on the field.
  • In episode 172, Mai Valentine uses this card during her Duel against Joey Wheeler. Mai has this card in her hand. In the next episode, Mai activates this card to Special Summon one of her two copies of "Cyber Harpie" from her Graveyard.
  • In episode 174, Yami Yugi and Rafael both use this card during their Duel against each other. Yami Yugi activates his copy to revive "Queen's Knight" from his Graveyard. In the next episode, the effect of "Amulet Dragon" banishes all Spell Cards from Yami Yugi's Graveyard and increase the ATK of "Amulet Dragon" by 300 for each banished Spell Card. In the following episode, Rafael discards his copy in order to activate "Orichalcos Sword of Sealing". Yami Yugi later activates "Spider Web" to take Rafael's copy to add to his hand. Yami Yugi then activates Rafael's copy in order to Special Summon Rafael's "Guardian Eatos" under his control.
  • In episode 183, this card appears in a flashback that Rafael has while trapped within the Great Leviathan when he remembers seeing his family's graves and Yami Yugi using this card to revive Rafael's "Guardian Eatos".

Grand Championship[]

  • In episode 195, Seto Kaiba uses this card during his Duel against Zigfried von Schroeder. Kaiba activates this card to Special Summon "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" from his Graveyard.
  • In episode 198, Yami Yugi and Leon von Schroeder both use this card during their Duel against each other. Leon uses his copy to Special Summon "Cinderella" from his Graveyard, allowing the effect of "Cinderella" where Leon can Special Summon "Pumpkin Carriage" from his Graveyard. Yami Yugi later activates his own copy to Special Summon "Dark Magician" from his Graveyard.

Dawn of the Duel[]

  • In episode 200, Seto Kaiba uses this card during his Duel against Yami Bakura. Kaiba activates this card to Special Summon one of his two copies of "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" from his Graveyard.
    • In the same episode, this card also appears within Kaiba's briefcase when he takes his Duel Disk.
  • In episode 224, Yugi Muto and Yami Yugi both use this card during their Duel against each other. Yugi activates "Gold Sarcophagus" to banish his copy from his Deck. Yami Yugi later activates his copy to Special Summon "Slifer the Sky Dragon" as part of his final winning move but "Gold Sarcophagus" reveals Yugi's copy is the banished card, thus Yami Yugi's copy is negated which means "Slifer the Sky Dragon" returns to the Graveyard.

Seven Stars[]

  • In episode 2, Jaden Yuki uses this card during his Duel against Chazz Princeton. Jaden tries to activate this card but he never got the chance to do so. Jaden had intended to use this card to Special Summon "Elemental Hero Flame Wingman" as part of his winning move but the Duel ends prematurely due to external influences. Jaden later revealed to Alexis Rhodes that this card was the card he drew on the Duel's last turn.
  • In episode 4, Syrus Truesdale is shown wearing three copies of this card on his headband while he was praying to "Slifer the Sky Dragon" to do well in a test. Another copy of this card was shown on the table that Syrus was kneeling in front of.
  • In episode 10, Para uses this card during his Tag Duel with Dox against Jaden Yuki and Syrus Truesdale. He uses this card to Special Summon "Jirai Gumo".
  • In episode 21, this card can be seen when Jaden Yuki rebuilds his Deck.
  • In episode 23, this card can be seen when Jaden Yuki rebuilds his Deck.

Society of Light[]

  • In episode 66, this card appears in a flashback Jaden has when he sees Wheeler as Zane which makes Jaden remember his first Duel against Zane.
  • In episode 85, Franz is seen with this card during his Duel against Jaden. Franz draws this card via the effect of Jaden's "Neo-Spacian Glow Moss". This would mean that the attack made by "Neo-Spacian Glow Moss" can be changed to a direct attack, however Franz activates "De-Fusion" to separate himself from "The Winged Dragon of Ra", decrease the ATK and DEF of "The Winged Dragon of Ra" to 0, and increase his Life Points by the ATK of "The Winged Dragon of Ra". "Neo-Spacian Glow Moss" then attacks and destroys "The Winged Dragon of Ra". After "Elemental Hero Neos" attacks directly, Franz had intended to activate this card on his next turn in order to Special Summon "The Winged Dragon of Ra" from his Graveyard and win the Duel. Franz never got the chance to do so as Jaden defeated Franz before that could happen.

Dimension World[]

  • In episode 156, this card is shown in a flashback Alexis has when remembers her first Duel against Jaden and notes that even when he had a few Life Points and no monsters on his side of the field, he believed in the strength of his draws and stood tall.
    • This card is also shown in a flashback Alexis has when she reveals to Chazz that although he believed he had Jaden completely cornered during their first Duel, he (Chazz) might not have actually won. Alexis then reveals that the card Jaden drew before the Duel got called off was this card and Jaden was going to use it to revive "Flame Wingman" and win the Duel. Chazz got mad at this revelation and demanded Jaden to come back, so he can defeat him (as initially he didn't care about Jaden not coming back).

Pre-World Duel Carnival[]

  • In episode 1, this card is shown on Yuma Tsukumo's Deck at the beginning of the episode when he gathers up his cards before leaving.
    • This card can also be seen after Yuma collides with a Litterbot.
  • In episode 2, Yuma uses this card during his Duel against Shark. He uses this card to revive "Gagaga Magician".
    • This card also appears in a flashback Yuma has when he introduces himself and explains his backstory.
    • This card also appears in Astral's thoughts when he explains in detail to Yuma about the "Numbers" and how they work.
  • In episode 7, two copies of this card are shown after Yuma's Deck case falls out of his school bag and his cards fall out.
  • In episode 12, Yuma uses this card during his Tag-Team Duel with Shark against Scorch and Chills. Yuma almost considers reviving "Number 39: Utopia" with this card, however Yuma remembers Astral told him this card can revive a monster in either player's Graveyard, so he uses this card to revive Shark's "Black Ray Lancer" under his control.
  • In episode 20, Bronk Stone uses this card during his Duel against Number 96 while the latter was using Yuma's Deck. He uses this card to revive "Number 39: Utopia".
  • In episode 21, this card is shown when Lillybot spits out cards that are part of her Deck and places them in her D-Pad.

World Duel Carnival[]

  • In episode 43, Yuma uses this card during his Tag Duel with Kite against Quattro and Trey. He uses this card to revive "Number 39: Utopia".
  • In episode 44, this card is shown when Yuma is rebuilding his Deck.

Barian Invasion[]

  • In episode 77, Yuma uses this card during his Duel against Carlyle Chesterton while the latter was possessed by the Barians. He uses this card to revive Carlyle's "Tamagushi the Righteous" under his control. After the third turn ends, Carlyle tried to get Caswell Francis (who was refereeing the Duel) to negate this card's effect since Yuma "stole" his monster and stealing is against the rules, however Caswell found this (along with Carlyle telling him to negate the effect of "Tatakawa Knight" for being an act of school violence) unreasonable and, after being convinced by Yuma, ceases to be referee and lets the Duel be a normal Duel).
  • In episode 80, Yuma uses this card during his Duel against Alito. He uses this card to revive "Gagaga Magician".
  • In episode 82, this card appears when Yuma is rearranging his Deck.
  • In episode 91, this card appears in a flashback Shark has when he explains to Rio if he hadn't told her what cards to use ever since the first time they started dueling, Rio couldn't do anything. This card was shown to be part of Rio's childhood Deck.

Mythyrian Numbers War[]

  • In episode 103, this card appears in Nistro's explanation to Yuma and his friends that Dueling was the one thing that shone through for him and Dextra.
  • In episode 107, Yuma uses this card during his Duel against Ponta while the latter was in Girag's body. Ponta, while possessing Yuma's body, uses this card to revive "Toy Knight"
  • In episode 109, Shark uses this card during his Duel against Abyss. He uses this card to revive "Black Ray Lancer".
  • In episode 112, this card is shown on Yuma's desk as he mourns the loss of Astral.
  • In episode 116, this card appears in a series of flashbacks Trey has when he explains that the reason Yuma repeatedly visits the places from his memories is because Yuma always believes that he will one day meet Astral again.

  • Yami Yugi and Kaiba both use this card during their Duel against each other. Yami Yugi uses this card to revive "Dark Magician Girl". Later Kaiba uses his copy to revive "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon". Later Yami Yugi activates "Double Spell" to activate Kaiba's copy of this card from the Graveyard and revive "Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon" under his control.

Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions[]

  • Yugi Muto uses this card during his Duel against Seto Kaiba. Yugi gives this card to Kaiba to activate the effect of "Magical Contract Door", allowing him to add a Monster Card from his Deck to his hand. Kaiba later send this card to the Graveyard to activate the effect of his "High Speed Aria", intending to Special Summon his "Deep-Eyes White Dragon" from the Graveyard, however, Yugi activates "Final Geas" in response to banish all Monster Cards in both Graveyards.
