- In the anime, Espa Roba used this card against Joey Wheeler in Battle City. Mind Control was a Trap Card and had a different effect. Espa used it to take control of Joey's "Swordsman of Landstar" when the latter attacked directly, saving himself. Espa then tributed "Swordsman of Landstar" to summon "Jinzo".
- In episode 74, this card appears within a series of flashbacks that show all of Joey's Duels in Battle City.
